You need testing more frequent at least when first commencing trt. What were the ranges?
Agree with Simon. Are you on any AI presently?
No AI. 3 to 4 years into TRT. Doc just called to retest in 3 weeks. I usually get copy of labs but didn't do that from last week's test yet. So I didn't get ranges etc.
OK. From memory the E-Sens range is 8-35 so you're not far over. If you do add an AI use the minimum amount and re-test in 4 weeks. If adex cut it in quarters.
I get the feeling nothing is going to drop E2. So an AI is just part of equation. Why can't whiskey raise T and cut fat and cholesterol?
A protocol is not "set in stone" for life. Our bodies change as do it's needs. Many guys start TRT not needing an AI and years later suddenly seem to need one. Same goes for amounts of T used. Be thankful for BW to direct us.
Everybody is different but most feel best when their E is in the 20's. I've seen 22 used as a goal by a lot of people. IMO 53.4 is too high. Retest after you've established you AI. Some guys over respond to thr AI and drive their E too low. Most low symptoms are the same as high symptoms so bloodwork will be your guide.
The quick and almost useless call after retest is estrogen at 54 out of 35 so we are calling in AI. Take 1/2 tab retest in 6 months. Call DR. If you have questions. Well of course I have questions.
Like...email me the last two lab results.
I will post those when I get them so you guys can coach me. Any suggestions about when I should time the AI in my dosage schedule?
i wish i understood that post..lol
in regards to an AI, take it with your pin. Makes life easier. if you only need half a tab a week and pin twice a week, buy an ebay pill cutter, and cut into quarters. doesnt matter if its not exact cut- it will balance out in the end
Simon, my post has some editorializing comments my doc doesn't always communicate well. Thanks for the advice.
I do whatever I can to avoid an AI.. I've been on a-dex as well as aromasin, was sensitive to them and had them crash my e2.
It was amazing what cutting back on my test and injecting sub-q did for me. It brought my e2 right back into range within a week or two. I went from 200mgs of test a week to 100mgs and split them into 50mg sub-q injections twice a week and it helped out immensely.
thats because 200 mg is far too much. you will guaranteed conversion to E on that dose. 100 is what your body produces naturally and needs, its the excess that converts.
Thank you. My e2 was right out of range: 55 and that was with adex and DIM on board. She wanted to up the adex but I was having a hard time getting it dialed in... I crashed my e2 several times and was tired of the AIs. So, I paid attention to the advice on this board and just cut my testosterone in half. She was shocked that I wanted to drop it given that my testosterone was in the 200s but I didn't much care.
As everyone has said: less is more when it comes to TRT. My free and serum test levels actually didn't drop a whole lot when I switched protocols. Multiple sub-q injections are friggin amazing.
Took advice and split AI dosage and take with Test. Felt better immediately. Muscles feel hard and sore as heck. I did workout. Bloating relief, joint pain reduced. Is all of this related to high E? If it is I have felt this way for months. If not I guess it's just a good week.
