Anastrazole dosing while on TRT and bloodwork

Hi all, hoping someone can help.
I’ve been on 150mg TestE per week split into 2 shots. I’ve been taking anastrazole at 0.5mg 24hours after each shot, so 1mg per week. I’ve noticed that I’m having some issues with erections and libido, and wondering if perhaps it could be AI related.
I’ve had blood work down a few times in the last couple of months. Since I’m from Australia we only have the standard assay and not sensitive. My numbers the last two times came back at 22, and 10 pg/ml after I convert from pmol/l. 22pg/ml being the most recent. Since this isn’t the sensitive, would that mean I’m potentially too low? Would the general consensus be to cut back the AI to 2 x 0.25mg per week instead (total 0.5mg/wk)?
If so, how long after cutting back th AI should I get bloods to recheck levels?
    TIA

What where your test levels? Ever consider lowering your dose so that the AI is not needed?

And I would definitely lower the AI dosage to .25 2X a week.

I'm sure more of the more knowledgable TRT members will give you the best advice as the day progresses, but in the mean time look through some similar threads in this section, many deal with this issue. Personally, I inject .75 mg - 2 x per week & started with .5 mg of Arimidex 2x per week and my E2 levels dropped very low after only a few months. But then when I dropped my Arimidex doses, my E2 climbed to above normal levels - so after 7 months on TRT, I'm still trying to get the dosage dialed in.

As you look at some of the threads, DIM is mentioned as an alternate to arimidex, I'm trying to read older threads and do some searching to see if this is the route to go for me.

Take a week off from your AI.
Evaluate your T levels as Nemesis mentioned.
    Cut your dose in half.
Be consistent and pull BW in a month.

Shady keep in mind that for guys on a 500 mg per week cycle the normal AI dose of Adex is .25 EOD. Do the math on that, you're taking more. The overwhelming majority of guys will never need that type of dosage. Personal example, if I run a test cycle at 750 per week my normal adex dose is .5 X 3 per week.

but if the BF% was high would you run that dose?

You have to run what is required based on labs and titrate accordingly. If you're going through drastic changes in BF% then it's wise to run labs more frequently to adjust. Even if BF% is stable for years our needs when it comes to hormones, both T & E will change over time and require adjustments.

Kelkel, since you're on this thread, would you mind sharing your feelings on DIM as a form of an AI?

Just a very mild AI that will never replace the standards. If it did, bodybuilders would have been all over this years ago as they are usually the guinea pigs and thus innovators when it comes to science. Worth a shot for TRT-ers with a mild need but not on cycle. Overall I think it's a very healthy thing but take too much of it and it will work inversely.

It also works best when mixed with zinc and copper, which can be purchased already combined.

Thanks once again. BTW, after reading your posts & those of STL Johhny, I've been intrigued by Pregnenolone - did some looking, bought a book by Dan Purser MD called "Hormone Replacement Therapy and Lab Values" - he speaks very highly of it, think I'm gonna give it a go. Are you ever wrong?

I'm kind of in the same boat. 100mg 2x week Test Cyp. My doc wrote me for 1mg of adex 2x/ week, but that seemed high so I starting splitting the dose and starting feeling the effects more after I cut back on the dose. I feel like I might be able to cut back even more. I need to gets bloods done soon.

    Every day in my house.

I'm hoping Purser recommends a micronized product? Check dhea.com for preg and obviously dhea....

If in the states you can check out discountedlabs for a cheap E2 Sensitive Test. Around $40 I believe. Private md labs has it as well. Just check on the sites if your state allows self-testing as some don't.

So, I'm like super paranoid now. I cut back the anastrazole dose to .25 2x/week. I took my first .25 on Friday ( 2 days ago), 24 hours after my shot.

Now, I have some pain in my right nipple, and am really worried. Is there even a chance that cutting the dose has had an effect THAT QUICK?

Pain or sensitivity? Sensitive nipples are quite normal when hormones are in flux. It does not mean gyno.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I'm in a state where I can't do self testing. I have family in CT (where it's OK). I might be able to work around it. Otherwise, I can get followup labs through my HRT clinic for $128. That will include Test levels and a few other things. Either way, I'm going to get it done in the next month or so.
