Acne Help?
Hey guys:
I am wondering if any of you had serious problems of acne after trt. I have been on trt for a year and a half and feel great now but my acne it out of control. My back and my face is the worst it has ever been, even when I was a teenager. My wife says it is getting hard to deal with it and is pushing for me to try to get off of trt. I have done some research and heard that an AI would help with estrogen levels and this is a common problem with TRT. I have a doctor appointment in a month to have another blood work up so I can double check my estrogen levels. Would the doctors prescribe the AI? I am wondering if any of you guys had this and what have you done to fix it?
Thanks.
edit: I inject Test C once a week at .5 ml.

You need to start with labs and see were your levels are at to determine if am ai is needed. Have you considered discussing this with your physician ?

I have been on a program with the dermatologist for the last 4 months, it has done nothing but have got worse. I am just wondering about other people experiences.

Like bio said- bloodwork. I had acne as a teenager and early twenties. Very prone to it, when I started trt my skin looks better than it ever has. My levels are about 670. So many variables in play blood work will be the best place to start. Could need mg adjusted, estrogen , he'll taking two shots a week instead of one may help. good luck

I've always been acne prone and dealt with it big time for the first year on trt. Its not estrogen related in my case as I've never been high on E2 and am not prone to aromatase. Tried accutane to no avail as well as every otc treatment you can think of. Strange as it may sound, the most effective treatment I found was to wash with dandruff shampoo. It doesn't have to be name brand, just make sure the active ingredient is zinc pyrithione and don't get one with any added scents or lotions. It's worth trying. I understand how frustrating acne can be so good luck.

@Baxter35, I have really bad acne on my back and this might work? Like head and shoulders?

Yes, head and shoulders. If you do some research on acne treatment forums, it's not that uncommon of a solution. It doesn't work for everyone, but it works for many and is worth trying. Work it into a good lather with a wash cloth or bath sponge and let sit on your back/shoulders for a few minutes.

Sunscreen with zinc in it works well too- I mix mine with other stuff so I don't look like a damn ghost
