    Blood Work Help TRT

Hey everyone. Just had blood work done after being on TRT since October at 160mg/test cyp a week split between two doses and HCG . I have cut my HCG use to 2x per week at 500iu each time. AI .25 mg day after injection. Can you please help on blood work? Some things are high on my liver count and wanted to see if that was bad and what I needed to do. I was drinking more than usual a few weeks before blood work was done so not sure if that is what caused it or if I was just dehydrated. Also upping dose to 200mg test a week.

    Thanks!

I am concerned about Renal (mainly because I'm confused about this category). I am also concerned about the Liver Values, Hematocrit, Estradiol, SHBG, and Testosterone.

I am increasing my fish oil and vitamin D. Also going from 160mg week of test to 200mg week of test. Do these values look like I was just dehydrated slightly? Looks like I should donate blood. Is there anything I should do or be concerned about with the liver values?

    Thanks.

I also read recently that higher AST levels could be from muscle damage. So maybe I was slightly over training, dehydrated and need to donate blood?

AST being high should not be a concern. It's simply muscular trauma from working out. It's not an indicator of over-training. ALT and AST can go multiple times above range from working out and can last for 7-10 days in this state.
Range seems odd on Hema to me. I would not consider 48 to normally be high. Nothing wrong with donating blood though.
Vit D is better than most. Don't add to much and over do it as it's fat soluble.
Not sure why you feel the need to add more test. Don't judge things by your total T as it's meaningless. Gauge things by your free T and yours is just fine. I assume you pulled BW at what would be a trough level so normally it's higher than that. Adding more Test will just push your shbg down further anyway.

Thanks Kelkel. I thought that was the case, but am glad for a confirmation. Didn't realize the free T is at a good level. Do you think that if I increased it to 200mg a week it would be a waste? Thought it would make me feel a little better. However, I do realize it is important to not take too much Test permanently. Then again it might be better to save the extra 40mg a week. Opinion?

Well, TRT is not a cycle so don't think of it as a low dose one. Think of TRT as where you are at healthy levels that make you feel good with as few ancillaries needed. If you free T is near the top and you don't have to give blood frequently than you're doing good. So yes, stock up on your Test. It builds up surprisingly quickly. It's exactly what I do. I'm written 200 but only use 120-140.

I agree with Kel on all points.

AST can fluctuate, particularly if you are exercising. It also is sensitive to NSAIDs like ibuprofen and naproxen as well as numerous other drugs that are metabolized in the liver. I think you're good, just keep an eye on liver enzymes in the future.

I see no reason at all to much with your TRT protocol. Your numbers are excellent. Free T is about perfect and E2 is under control without being overly suppressed. Forget the Total T number, it's meaning less other than to screen patients for potential hypogonadism, and it's a bad screening tool at that.

You are already at the top of the range for hemoglobin. Increasing your T dose will probably send you into an excessive range that will make it difficult to control with blood donations. I strongly suggest that you start donating blood if you are eligible, and get on a regular schedule.
