    Trt,varicocele,hcg and clomid

So I'll start from the top last year like an idiot im 26 a buddy got me to inject 250 iu of hcg eod for about 2 to 3 weeks not knowingly was suppressive or dangerous I went along and felt pretty great on it to but then it all went down hill about 2 to 3 weeks after stopping the hcg I got a bad testicle pain and went into the hospital and was told I had a grade 3 varicocele during that time I started feeling lethargic peeing alot and being depressed and anxious so my doctor tested my total t it came back at 400 then 385 then 355 and 338 over the course of 3 months so I scheduled microsurgery and got the veins fixed and I still don't feel better (it's been 3 months) I've been on clomid now for exactly 1 month to the day and I still don't feel better. Some important facts and questions I have 1. Did I damage myself with the hcg? 2. Is it to early to feel anything on clomid? The doctor said it takes between 4 and 6 months to normalize levels? 3. I also am scheduled for another surgery in the winter because he missed some veins so I still have a varicocele that needs to be operated on.
On a side note I've never done steroids , my lh is consistently 3.5 to 4.5 even came back at 8.5 on the top end once my fsh has been 5.5 every time and my e2 has been 11 and 19 the two times I had it tested.
I went to a knowledgeable doctor who manages trt alot and steroid users and he said varicoceles can effect the leydig cells and his advice was to tough out the year get the second surgery to finish off the veins and then he would reccomend running 250 to 500 iu of hcg eod for about 30 to 60 days with labs and e2 control to stimulate the leydigs into working again then finish off with nolvadex and an ai to take care of any e2 conversion.....I'm a little scared to touch hcg again and the doc claims hcg had nothing to do with my varicocele or my low t condition And even though I'm scared he said the hcg would test my testicular function and promote inter testicular t which is what is being affected by the varicocele i asked about hcg desnsitization and he said you wpuld have to run a large amount for a long time to do any kind of significant damage hes seen fertility doses at 1500 iu a day for months and the same t level always returned also my t is 350 after surgery

To whoever reads this and helps me thank you from my heart

In short. Your doctor is absolutely correct. Only thing I would consider doing differently would be an HCG Stimulation Test (google it) post surgery instead of the longer run with HCG. This way you'd know in a few days whether your testicals respond to the stimuli from HCG and not have to drag it out. That said, there's nothing wrong with your doc's conservative approach. Just a thought!

But seriously, your doc is way ahead of most docs when it comes to this area of expertise.

Just stick with the doc. He's on the correct path. Cross the TRT bridge if and when you get to it.

Don't know but it's worth taking this path. Plenty of studies show the success of varococele surgery. Also remember to try to base your T levels on your free T, not total T. Free is what actually works for you.
