Transdermal Gel Formulation Confusion
Been on Androgel with good results for a few years but insurance has dropped coverage and doctor has given me a prescription for compounded topical gel that I am (trying) to make myself.
I have a formulary from "Compounding Today" that uses Ethoxydiglycol as a solvent for raw test powder (no esters) but my web research seems to indicate that this does not act as a solvent, but the ethyl and methyl alcohol do. But again, I find nowhere on the web a transdermal gel recipie that uses alcohol to make a transdermal. Seems I'm missing something here. Who can help a newbie? I have much mail telling me to go with injection so for now please do not repeat this advice as I know all about that and about hCG , just help me make a transdermal gel.

I know of no one here who's attempted to make a transdermal. Nor can I fathom a reason why, despite what I read in a previous thread.
And honestly, if you knew all about injections and about HCG then you wouldn't be considering this venture, imho.
That said, if you're a science guy and like the challenge I'll be quite curious how this works out for you.

Transdermal is a pretty interesting science. Even as effective as it is, it is nothing compared to taking a shot of Test. Transdermal also is messy and if your 10 year old daughter happens to get some on her, she'll go through puberty. If one is not in a position to pin Test, then transdermal may be a viable solution.

Thanks. I have infant had test shots but only the "long acting" ones which were terrible for me as they spiked and dipped. I may well go with the shots one day. For now the gel is working fine and I have a couple of months supply. No 10 year old daughter but the wife has read some trans vaginal would be good for her libido. Anyone have any experience of that?

Haven't heard of it but found this:

But as HRT or AAS goes, I did further reading and found that a lot of women who use a compounded estrogen/test cream on their genitals and get a very positive response. Guessing it was +98% of the women commented positively. But as with TRT treatments, finding an OB that believes it works seems to be quite a challenge. Certainly something that needs further research.

While i have some attention, can anyone direct me to good information on hCG ? I have found a source but know nothing of dosage and of how and when to use or even if it is effective at protecting gonads or significantly increasing natural test production.

Read the stickies.
But hcg is easy.
250u to 500u x 3 a week (no higher than 500u x 3 a week for normal use)
That will keep your boys alive.
And while some inject hcg with their test, I mean in the same syringe, don’t be that lazy, I see no advantage to it.
Just inject it SubQ.
