    Trt in the near future

    Hello all,

I've been away for a bit. I'm getting blood work done this friday and will post my full panels. Lately for the past 4 months I've been just depleted. No energy, tired no matter how much I sleep, moody to a point, feel weak in the gym, and seems I've gained some body fat. I'm guessing I'm at that point where it's time to consider trt. I figure start this thread now and I'll post how it all goes.

    Yep, T sucks. What's your age t-dogg?

The tests I'm not seeing are LH & FSH which are really important as they show pituitary function and can help determine if you are primary, secondary or a combination of both. Also prolactin and cortisol are always nice to rule out.

Yeah I'm 34. I didn't get the hgh part of the test done. I will on the next go around.

The past 4 months have been a bear. Always tired, no energy when awake, holding more water, gained fat, no drive.

My docs want to be a bit more agreesIve for now. Start me on a dose 200-300mg. With all supporting med including b12.

Bad idea by your doc. You should always start low and titrate up based on blood work. Starting high, and 200 is upper end trt, 300 is simply a low dose cycle, will just force you to then mitigate estrogen issues immediately and rbc issues down the road. I highly recommend starting at about 50 mgs x 2 per week, pull bloods in 6 weeks, evaluate and adjust as needed. This is for the long haul so it's about solid numbers with as few ancillaries as possible. Don't forget to discuss HCG with your doctor.

One more thing. With your doc recommending that dose is he wanting injections to be every two weeks as well?

Thanks for the feedback. I do believe they want to lower after things are picked up. I'll be injecting once a week he wants, however I might do it twice a week I see blood levels are more stable at that rate.

Yes hcg will be in place. I'm getting a complete break down today in a few hours. I'll have the full protocal, which I'll post.

Here's the protocol. 300mgs was the same so I didn't add that pic.

    1) Kel is correct regarding starting at a lower dose and working up. You feel the cut back a lot more than the increases. Makes it difficult to cut back once you get spoiled with the (unsustainable) higher amounts.

    2) 4 Week cleanse phase with no T and only Clomiphene? I'd really think twice about jumping into this program.

    3) 6 months for $1400???? My doctor prescribed program filled at the local pharmacy is $418 per 6 months.

    1. They said it was up to me on this first 6 months. After that it would be dropped down.

    2. I questioned this also, as I've never did a pct like that.

    3. That's about the normal prices I've seen without having insurance paying. I'm jealous ha.

Actually, T-cyp is not very expensive at all. A 1 year supply at most local pharmacies, even without insurance (I have no coverage) is only about $155.

It's the HCG that pushes the price up. A 1 year supply at ~1000 IU per week is about $680, but you can get by with half that.

I don't have a script for anastrozole because I don't actually "need" it. With a T dose of only 40-50 mg E3D, there is little excess conversion to E. However, I like to use very small doses to keep me in the 50th to 75th percentile of my range instead of the upper end. I use 0.5 mg/week using the daily eye dropper method. I obtain a well known name brand through alternative sources for about $1.27 per 1 mg tablet. This equates to about $0.63 per week or $33 per year.

So my total program is about $867 per year without insurance. I'm certain you could obtain comparable pricing, or possibly lower if you shop around, if you had a script to obtain the meds yourself.

Oh, one-piece 28G insulin syringes (the actual topic of this thread) are about $0.24 each delivered to your door.

Now that I think about it, I do have a source for you if you still want to go with the 2-piece syringe. https://02c6e97.netsolstores.com/HypodermicNeedles.aspx. I've purchased various supplies from them in the past and they are reputable, I've just found Totaldiabetessupply.com to be my preferred vendor.

1400$ lol, is that really a doctor?

Ask for nebido. Injecting twice a week gets old fast, I only inject every 12 weeks.

The "Cleanse" thing gets me. TRT or no TRT. Bouncing back and forth is ridiculous.

Pricing seems on point for most trt clinics. Even on here years ago it was 199.99 a month. Norm is 175-200 from what ive found.

Now i thought trt was year round, meaning never off the prescribe dose. 200mgs a week year round.

You're getting bad information. Don't believe everything you read in these forums. There are lots of guys here masquerading as doing TRT, when they are actually doing low dose steroid cycles (often called blast and cruse). Challenge your sources, and personally, I would not take advice from anyone that has not been on a stable protocol for at least a year. It takes at least that long to figure out what's best for you. More like 3 to 5 years to really nail it down.

Also, I would never take advice from anyone obtaining TRT from these "clubs" or TRT clinics. The doc (I use the term loosely) that run these clinics have a vested interest in selling you stuff you don't need at an exorbitant price. You should not be paying $200 per month for TRT. Think about it. How long can you maintain that level of expenditure? And then you decide to quit, but your hormones are so screwed up by that point that you get even more desperate and start doing really foolish things.

The prices I quoted are much closer to what the norm should be. I'm not particularly price sensitive in my position in life, so I don't shop around, yet I pay only $73 per month. They are ripping you off with a protocol that is down right dangerous and going to send you on an emotional and physical rollercoaster ride.

Sorry to be so blunt, but you really need to think this through more.

Agree with Youthful on this. I've been on TRT for more than 10 year and for the past six or seven having Testopel pellets inserted every six months. My cost (insurance won't cover) is $125 a month ($750 twice a year). TRT clinics won't do it because there's no money in two visits annually.

Same as nebido/aveed, they will say anything to put it down.

    We two update.

I feel a million times better. I wake up now feeling fully alert. Don't even need coffee. I've lost alot of water weight. No strength gains, but I won't see them until week 3 or 4 like normal. I'm glad I'm made this decision.

This is the 4th week now on this road trip now. I've read that weight increase can happen/water retention, but I don't look bloated. I've gained 4lbs approximately now Muscles looking fuller and rounder. Mood is much better. Energy increased. Alot of mental fog gone. Couple questions.

    1. When did you see fat loss?

    2. Did you change your diet in anyway once starting trt?
