If one was to exhaust every treatment out there to get the body to start producing by itself before starting TRT, what would the options be?
Proper rest, nutrition, full bloodwork to include a full thyroid panel and LH/FSH values.
Evaluate:
If LH/FSH values are high yet T is low, it's an indicator of primary hypogonadism (testicular failure)
If LH/FSH values are low and T is low, it indicates secondary issues - hypothalamus/pituitary.
It can also be a combination of both. Simply andropause.
Clomid (SERMS) can be a viable first step for people to stimulate more pituitary function. Issue is will it hold upon cessation of it. If not, some choose to stay on clomid for fertility purposes but in reality it's a little used form of hormone replacement therapy compared to actual testosterone replacement.

This depends entirely upon what’s causing it. If it’s a pituitary tumor, get that shit handled. If it’s just low LH output with no physiological anomalies, Clomid has helped that in some.Quote:

Secondary is more nefarious than primary, just because there are so many things that can induce it.
TRT doesn't 'cure' hypogonaism any more than insulin injections cure diabetes. It just treats some of the more pronounced symptoms.
