    Low E2 concerns

I started T (I'm 43 years old) around January and use Testosterone /Anastrazole 200mg/1mg/ml and started with weekly injections of 1 ml. I recently started to inject 1 ml every 6 days upon recommendation of my doctor at the Men's Clinic.

I am concerned about are my e2 levels. My initial lab results before starting T showed Estradiol levels at <5.0 pg/mL. My last blood draw a few months ago showed that Estradiol levels had raised to about 9 pg/mL. Estradiol results were determined using Roch ECLIA methodology.

My next blood draw is in two months from now.

From what I have gathered, a low E2 level is not desirable and perhaps I should not be using an AI at all. I won't know what my current level is for a while and won't be able to get a new vial of T until after my next blood draw (perhaps I could firmly request an earlier blood draw to find out).

I am posting my initial lab results, and can post my second set of results when I receive them in the mail in a couple of days.

My free T was at 517 ng/dL and went up to 565 ng/dL. My calculated free T went up from 224 to 307. So not a huge amount, but a bit.

The main reason I started to wonder about my E2 levels is that sometimes I am unable to get an erection and have sex, which is disappointing. Much of the time I can function normally, but when I can't it sucks and it makes my gf feel bad about herself. My doc has said that I can try Cialis in the meantime until my next labs and that should arrive in a week or two.

My question is, should I not be using an AI at all? Or adjust the amount of AI in the serum? Unfortunately I am stuck with what I have for a few months.

Other than the E2 and occasional sexual dysfunction, I feel pretty good on T, but I am beginning to wonder if I even need to be on it in the first place, or if T is a good way to address my low E2 levels. The main reason I got on T was because I noticed a loss in my quality of erections about a year ago, and would like to maintain and gain muscle mass and bone density. Overall, I am pretty fit and lean and in overall very good health.

Brothers here have advised me that you shouldnt be running an AI for that low of a testosterone dose. I had the same issue at first. it was all good until i started taking the anastrozole. no more hard ons, and a weak tired feeling. i cut that shit out, and it was on and poppin a few days later.

Good to know. So it just took you a few days to be back to normal? I hope that's the case with me.

I'm having a discussion tomorrow with my doctor. Hopefully he orders me some T serum w/o the AI and I can get back to feeling normal. I felt awesome when I first started the T.
