I need my hip replaced stay on or come off TRT?

2020 has been the year of all years. I had my right hip replaced in 2011 and I’m at the point my left needs to get done. Gonna call my surgeon this week and start that process. Ugh

I’ve been on the fence about coming off TRT to get my fiancé pregnant and thinking now might be the time. When I get my hip replaced I can’t go heavy for at least 6 months so I’m thinking maybe just stay off until I’m back in the gym for a month or two and then jump back on. My concern is I’m thinking being on TRT might help with recovery. I’ve been taking HGH at a therapeutic dosage (1 imperial day) and will continue that for obvious reasons.

If I’m going to lose a Lot of strength and size I’m thinking might as well come off and try to kill two birds with one stone.

    Thoughts? Good idea or bad???

    Is it 2021 yet??? Haha

I’m actually planning on jumping on both of those even while on. Thinking it may be all I need to get her pregnant. Getting my hip replaced will def cause some depression and I’m clearly concerned doing that and coming off may impact my overall well being too much

Mind you, my gut also says things like "we're going to eat this whole pizza, diet be damned!' So maybe it isn't the most trust worthy source...

Seriously though, I don't see how it could hurt to stay on. Happy to be enlightened though if that belief is wrong.

If you do come off, maybe switch to clomid and or hcg/hmg. Those both help with fertility and test levels, though clomid is only viable if you are secondary.

As long as your RBC/HEMATOCRIT/HEMOGOLBIN are all fine, you should be ok.
Sometimes blood clotting can be an issue if your RBC levels are elevated to high.

Great points, I didn't even think of that.

What do you consider a trt dosage?

If higher the doctor recommended you might want to lower it to “normal” levels for above reasons and Bp.

Is your TRT under a doctor's supervision? Or are you the doctor? I agree with Ashop, if your blood levels are good, I don't see any reason in stopping. Besides, the low test will probably make you feel miserable on top of having the surgery.

Zero reason to come off TRT as long as it's done properly. Add HCG appropriately to help spermatogenesis.
