    Donating Blood on HRT

I always thought donating blood while on gear was a no no. During HRT consult doc said blood can build up red blood cells and "get thick" so it helps to donate blood every now and again.

Anyone else ever been told this? Anyone else practice it?

I'll give blood a couple times a year. Not because I need to but because it's good for me and for society. Cylon is correct re Fina. I'm on it and will simply take a handful of days off prior to donation. Regarding while being on gear, if you're on cycle then you have to fib a little on the questionaire. If on TRT there's zero issues and does not require admitting to it as it's a doctor provided prototol. The amount of testosterone in the blood is negligible.

Right now just test, hcg , and anti-estrogen. Talking to a new clinic that offers more variety such as Var and/or Deca (joint issues).

My Dr told me the same thing a few years ago. So now I try to donate blood 1 once a month.

If you donate that frequently keep an eye on your iron levels as you can drive yourself anemic. Especially if you're older.

Strange words here. Most of places of donation will refuse you if it hasnt been 12 weeks. I know this from experience. Donating once a month seems detrimental to your health

You're right I counted the weeks on the calendar and the appointments are 8 to 12 weeks apart. I guess it feels like I'm always there. The place seems to be calling my phone all the time to come down and donate. LoL

As far as iron I drink a green smoothie every day with a ton of Spinach and Kale and a whole bunch of other things. Every time I go my Iron is fine if not right on the border of too high.
