    Low testosterone IBS connection? TRT?

    Hi guys,
I was wondering if you can talk about the connection between testosterone and the gut. Especially the effects on gut motility. I searched the internet and found some interesting stuff but I want to here more opinions about that and maybe even personal stories.
I'm suffering from IBS for a long time and it got very severe the last few years. Basically a type of SIBO which always comes back despite taking rounds of antibiotics, antimicrobials etc. I might reached a dead end here because I literally cannot stomach any more medication.

During treatment I was also checked for testosterone which always came back low. Blood was drawn 5 times over the past years. Best result was about 300ng/dl iirc, worst 90ng/dl. Always high SHBG. (up to 90, mostly 55-75)
Do you think I might benefit from testosterone therapy ?
    M 38y 5'10 175lbs paleo diet working out several times a week

    Thanks in advance
    Chris

    Testosterone can't hurt; IMO...

    I am no doctor.

I personally have never experienced any contraindications / bad side effects in my intestinal tract, from using test.

Tren ... Now that's another story entirely.

My opinion down to a T

My first summer without tren , best my gut has ever felt < go figure

Low test? < it’s hard to relate. Our bodies are a complex machine. But, hormone levels determine a lot more than most MD’s like to admit
