Question TRT newbie and facial bloating - need feedback

    Hi everyone,
I just started TRT 6 weeks ago. So far I am feeling the benefits of the TRT except for the uncontrollable water weight gain especially in my face. My scale weight increased by 5 lbs in a caloric deficit which normally results in a 1/2lb per week fat loss. I tried balancing my sodium/potassium, cardio, and dropped carbs to <100g per day. I’m concerned with having to diet to keep water down which is opposite of what trt is supposed to help me with.

I’m taking 100mg Cypionate weekly. Have libido increased, E2 is normal range, total test is still at the bottom range (I am reviewing new levels with my doctor in a few weeks to make an adjustment)

Those with experience please let me know if the bloating is normal in the beginning or something you have to live with.

    Any suggestions would be helpful.

Update for those interested. After a couple months the water retention issued completely disappeared. I believe my body needed time to adjust to the new testosterone .

What did help until I adjusted was to use a low dosage diuretic Hydrochlorothiazide once a week if I felt uncomfortable.
    Crest likes this.

Good to hear it self resolved. How is everything else going? Has TRT met your expectations?
Would be helpful to know some vitals, i,e age, height, weight etc…
