    --->>405<<--- trt thread

well as some of yall have prob read a few posts ive made in here and i also have a thread/log in the diet section i figd i would do a similar thing in here because the more i think about my situation the more i realize how serious it actually is.. i dont know if it works in here like it does in the nutrition section but i figd id create a permanent thread for myself in here .. ive never had any major medical issues or chronic long term issues like this so its new to me.. always been pretty healthy and id have to say im not very happy about this situation.. but if im gonna have a thread about my diet i dang well oughtta have one in here too..

i guess im a little nervous about how all this is gonna play out.. im anticipating having some good and bad experiences coming my way over the next several months.. when i went to have my test levels checked i didnt really think they were gonna come back low.. ive been tired and my attitude has been somewhat negative for several months or maybe even a yr or longer and its been hard to lose weight but i just thought it was because of maybe working alot and stress and the fact that im not too far from 40.. in a way i guess i kind of hoped maybe i could legitimately get on some test to improve my physique but now that its a reality its taking a little time to sink in..

did alot of reading on here awhile back when i was considering AAS but never really felt comfortable messing with my hormones.. i read the thread about how long it would take to start getting results but i suppose rite now im just curious as to how its been for u guys that have been on TRT for a year and wondering if its been worth it ??

have also read about the IM injections as well as subcutaneous and i planned on just doing IM.. apparently they can be painful over time?? im not afraid of pain but was wondering what type of pain is it? like shot in the hip hurts for a little bit then a tad sore kind of pain thats maybe just a little annoying or is it something else? 2 shots a week dont seem like that big of deal but i guess the fact that it has become such a topic on here made me wonder if the test injection played out differently than just a regular shot for some reason??

also i asked about bio-identical HRT on here a few days ago but since then have had a few people some of which r on bio and some that have researched it but just havent followed thru telling me it would be better long term than the synthetic test ill be taking?? this may be sad but i didnt really even think about it being synthetic.. i really have alot to learn LOL.. so im a little confused rite now as to what to do.. i just want to do whatever is gonna be most effective and safest over the long term .. dont wanna end up really screwed up down the road..

im sure i have a whole lot other questions thatll come up and i appreciate anything u guys have to offer..

im supposed to get my TRT therapy underway wed morning., now i have not had my E2 levels chekd yet cuz the doc i went to told me it was not necessary.. upon reading on here i know thats wrong and ive written down all the necessary tests i could find on here as well as on allthingsmale.com so my question is should i get E2 chekd b4 starting shots or go ahead and get it going? total test 349 free test 7.3 those r the only 2 numbers i have rite now... i plan on getting the rest of the numbers they ran on wed and when i do ill post them.. although i dont know if they ran anything else...especially taking into consideration what she said about E2.. i am getting a "hurry up" referral to an endo but in the mean time i would like to start feeling better than i do now..

i do plan on talking to her about these other tests as well as stressing the importance of the E2 and if she doesnt seem willing i will go to another doc..

yes its possible! its good to know you base line anyway, so that way you can monitor your progress and have something to compare with.

cool man thx thats good to know.. one thing i wanna get to the bottom of is why? and how long have i been like this?? ive got the 10ml vial at home and a doc appt wed like i already said.. dont have alot of free time rite now to be taking off for doc appts (if i have to then i have to) but theyre planning on giving me my first inject then.. im ready to get on the road to feeling better .. so u think i would be ok getting the shot then if when i talk to them on wed they agree to take blood first and test my E2 and then give me the shot with E2 results within a week???

also was doing a little reading and it seems hcg would be another thing i wanna think about taking.. dont want prepubescent boy nuts with hair LOL.. i know of other docs i can go to if this one is uncooperative..

oh and did u get any crap from ur doc about self injecting cuz i dang sure aint goin in there every freaking week!

one other thing that i thought was weird.. i have morning and middle of the nite wood.. and i try to have sex with my wife everyday.. wouldnt u think thatd be affected with a free test of 7.3 (8.7-25.1)"normal" ^
    total test 349 (348-1197)"normal" ^
    ^
when i told her about my low test issue she laughed because of ---------------------------------------------------->>>> ^

not sure if i understand your question! its always good to test your levels prior to any treatment, that way you know what is your base line is. hCG has allot more benefits than just keeping your boy from shrinking, click on the link to learn more,

    http://forums.steroid.com/showthread...st-read-re-hCG

yea get your doc to let you do the injections, going to the office for that is waste of time!

i guess my question was i have the test cyp and an appt to start trt but only bloodwork was free and total test.. i dont want to inject w/o first being shown by the doc and id prefer not to have to make another appt due to waiting for E2 and other labs to get started as long as it would be ok to start if they were gonna test E2 and other stuff from the blood i request they draw on wednesday?? so basically id prob be on test for a week without knowing current E2 and other labs..

well i decided to wait til i see my endo before i start TRT.. i wanna make sure they do the proper testing for E2 and PSA and all that other stuff i havent been tested for.. hopefully i wont have to wait too long for my appt.. in the mean time i have a 6 month script for 100mg/ml test cyp sitting at my house.. i read in previous post about having trouble getting hcg and ai's prescribed... hope i dont run into the same prob... whats wrong with these fcuking doctors???

also did all u guys have the digital rectum exam or whatever?? funny but i was thinking digital meaning electronic.. but then it occurred to me.. by digital do they really mean a "digit" as in a finger??LOL and if so how was it?? i dont want that at all..i dont know whats worse ..dying from prostate cancer or having some dude stick his finger in my ass...

Just hope your doc does have thick fingers, cuz digital means fingers, not a computer, lol

If you walk in and your doc looks like he used to be a linebacker or a carpenter, look out, violation is on its way, hahahaha

u guys r funny had a buddy say the same thing to me today about the thick fingers... got some great beginning news.. i considered letting my GP start TRT on me (and he was gonna) because the endo appt wasnt supposed to be until after december.. but i decided to wait as i said previously and my GP doc called me today to tell me i officially got referred so i could call the endo and make an appt.. well when i calld they said they hadnt received any info on me from the GP which frustrated the heck out of me .. i gave the lady the number to the GP and she calld them and then calld me back and said everything was in order and how would tomorrow be at noon!! man i was really happy to hear that..apparently they just had a cancellation.. my brother has appt with same endo he made 3 weeks ago and its not til dec 22! they told me id be there for 1hr and 45 mins.. can anyone tell me what is gonna take that long??thx!

They must plan on doing more than my doc did. Or maybe they know you are going to spend an hour waiting.

My doc only did blood pressure, asked me a bunch of questions and took blood. I think he did some general physical stuff as well, but it was quick. The truth is in the blood work, which came back super low. He put me on Test Cyp and said they would add HCG later. That way he could see how I responded to one compound before adding another. He said future blood work would dictate if I needed an AI.

The difference, I imagine, is I went to a anti-ading doc I knew, not an endo or GP.

    Good luck!

for me i wish i did a complete blood work before TRT, i mean complete including vitamins and molecules! there are three important meds to discuss with your doc for TRT protocol, and i am sure you know them by now,

    1. testosterone
    2. AI
    3. hCG

The anti-aging and TRT clinics seem to let people self-inject with no problem. It is alway good to ask them though, they may assume you want to come in for shots. I am surprised how many people will drive across town because they cannot self-inject. I have read many cases were other, more traditional doctors have a hard time letting patients inject themselves. Maybe they are more worried about abuse.

I would tell them that driving across town seems silly for a little shot. It just doesn't make sense.

try this (my GP was reluctant to let me do this as well).....

first ask the doc to let you self inject in the office, from start to finish, alcohol the Test vial, using needle to draw, switching to separate needle, alcohol the leg, shift your weight, aspirate , etc. etc. etc.

once he sees you arent freaked out, nor a dummy, he will prolly let you do it.

plus, they usually give you only enough Test in a script to run through two bottles worth before a certain date, so its not like you are taking the Test home and just blasting it all, lol

Exactly, but then what are you going to do the remaining 4 months? Not have any? That's my point, to tell them you would have to be dumb to use up all the Test to blast then go to the shitter and feel like dying when your test levels go from 2000 to 100 when you cold turkey from 300 mg to nothing

Well its been a busy day.. I found out why my endo appt was gonna be 1 hr45mins.. Cuz i hadmto sit in waitn rm an hr and a half!!! He seemd to know wats going on.. Wanted to chek tsh and t4 and prolactin?? I askd for E2 and he said he would chk it.. He said hes never done hcg and didnt know if insurance would cover but wed see.. I think he was more concernd about ruling out pituitary tumor.. Said my testes wer not the size and type of wat he expected of a guy w low test.. Also found interest in my libido being normal.. Hes open to AIs if necessary... Said he does not subscribe to sub q injects.. IM only.:

On a side note we have an antiaging doc here doing bioidentical HRt.. Talkd to him as well.. He really seems to know wats going on and told me of all the tests hed run.. Said my test level was way low and would prob start me on 200mg split in 2 shots/week at 100mg/shot.. Said mor often def better.. Said gels were crap.. Suggested if i stay with endo to get 1/2" 30gauge diabetic needles and inject strait into quad.. No pain.:

I may switch to him depending how this thing goes with endo.. Bioidentical guy said he starts all his patients out with test and hcg to be dun like 2times/week at some specific time i cant remember.. He also has nutrition anddiet expert as well as exercise expert.. Said after first time fee all labs and scripts would be covered by insurance.. Then i just pay x amt each year..(not too bad really) ..

I tell u my gut says go with that guy .. I dont know if yall have seen the 70someth yr old man online with no shirt on and looking pretty ripped.. Well he said thats his doc (hes also a patient) and thats the same guy who trained him in "hormone optimization" (dr jeffry life)..

Will have to see how it goes with endo.. Get BW on wed next week at latest

When doing IM you want it deep into the muscle.

    1" is recommended for quads.

    I'm currently using 27 gauge 1 1/4" and leaving about 1/4 - 1/2" out.
