Getting blood work done.. info please

hey, im 32 years old and have been on trt for over a year(all gels as my pcp wont prescribe injects) anyways i haven't had my test levels checked since i began and my doc wants bloodwork done soon if i want to continue. Well a few months ago i lost my job and my insurance with it so i couldnt afford the price of those test gels. I got desperate and had some old injectables from my last cycle a couple years ago. Anyways i ad used EQ, masteron and a little tren mix... Now will these steroids show up as elevated testosterone levels in the blood work? What effect will these have on the labs? thanks

u just said you cant afford the gels (the only thing he will prescribe), no?

isnt it a moot point to appease this doctor at this juncture?

how was your little leftover desperate cycle? get some good gains?

what are your plans for future trt?

if you want to continue? trt isnt an if you want situation.

The doctor apt is going to cost more than the script will cost especially with labs. Cant you just tell the doc you have no insurance right now and to hold off for a few months until you get back on your feet. Shop around pharmacies, Walmart and Costco are typically the lower cost for test scripts. Also check to see what is cheaper with the pharmacies, gel or injectable or maybe go with a compounding pharmacy and it might be enough to convince your doc to change his mind.

actually i lost my medical insurance in fab and i got married april 15th and am under my wifes medical now.. so yea i took the stuff i had lying around just to try and get something in me considering i felt awful and had no sex drive. i couldnt afford the androgel while i didnt have insurance and my pcp will not prescribe my injectables for some reasonno matter what info i come in with about how it would be safer for my wife and alot less costly to myself. He prescribes anything else u could ask for but for some reason thats the one thing he just wont do. My new insurance wont cover androgel... they only cover testim, the patch and all the injectables. So i went back last month and told him what was going on and he would only give me testim and on top of that he prescribed me the lowest dose 1 tube a day when i was on 8 pumps of androgel a day before. So i was kinda upset because i knew i was too low. I hate the testim it sticky and i hate the tubes. He wont even up my dose to 2 tubes a day till i take the blood test because its been so long. i def have very low levels as my first test showed a total testosterone of 298 i believe and i was 31 at the time and im sure it will be just as low if not worse if i hadnt taken those injectables i mentioned. So would those steroids i took cause my testosterone levels to be elevated in the blood? Or is it only testosterone that would elevate it? I would try to get a endo but money is tight and i already see 2 doctors and stuff... also im affraid that the endo i choose will just stick me on a gel is there anyways to figure out which doctors specialize in injectables or if any of those clinics online are legit?

What type of insurance does your wife have? HMO? PPO? FFS?

All plans have more than one doctor to offer you so why don't you look for another practitioner who will prescribe IM?

Do you need a referral to see a specialist...if so, you have an old plan.

What's the out of pocket cost to see a PCP or Specialist visit?

I am confused with the "cost" factor when you are covered by a health insurance plan.

Just find another Doc and be done with it!
