HCG before or after Test?

I split my weekly dose up into 2 injections of test instead of one. My Dr. advised me to take the HCG 1 day before and 1 day after the Test shot. However, since I split it up should I take the HCG shots before or after the Test? This week I did it the day before but I'm not sure what is better. I know the Test takes weeks to absorb but I'm not sure about the HCG.

Your Doc is following the protocol followed by many in A4M.

Truth be told, there is not one HCG protocol for injections.

You can follow his recommendation and be fine.

I split my Test injections as well like many here and I like a more consistent HCG protocol where I inject Monday, Wednesday and Friday and this works well for many...my Doc likes it as well.

It's up to you and what you feel works best for you.

How much HCG are you guys taking? How do you know what numbers work best for you?

There are no hard and fast clinical guidelines for HCG administration; it's what works best for you.

The general consensus is smaller doses more frequently and never more than 350 iu on any given day.

Of course, wait for the experts. But for me on a gel, i inject 100iu/day. It's been a few days and the slight testicular pain has vanished and the boys are fuller than ever. I think most guys on injections do 250iu two or three times per week.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but if I reconstitute 5,000iu's with 2ml BW like stated in the HCG thread, it says each line will be 25iu's. Just to be sure is that each of the very tiny lines? There are 100 lines on my 1ml insulin syringes with all the 10's bolded, like 10, 20 so on. So to inject 250iu's it would be filled to the 10 mark? Sorry for the dumb question, just wanted to be sure.

I do my test shots twice a week. And hcg is done a day and a half before. Or two days after its the same. Test shot is every 3.5 days. My dose is a little higher 500 each shot. Did 250 at first.

So if I put 2 mls of bac water in the 5000 iu bottle and .80 mls of water in the 2000 iu bottle, I just pull plunger to the 10 mark? I thought the 25 unit mark was the 250 iu mark. Geez!

5000 u / 2 ml = 2500 units per ml

2500 u / ml * .25 ml (25 units on an insulin syringe) = 625 units

What you most likely want is:

2500 u/ml * .10 ml (10 units on an insulin syringe) = 250 units

Be sure to read the sticky thread on HCG - lots of good info in there including info on mixing, dosing and dose frequency.

Yes. If you're doing HCG 3x/week @ 250u each time, a 5000u bottle should be good for just under 7 weeks worth of doses.

.10ml per dose * 20 doses = 2 ml

20 doses / 3 doses per week = 6 weeks + 2 doses

I'm doing two doses per week, 2nd and 1st day before my inject of t-cyp.

That said, I have taken 4 doses of 625ius of HCG for the last two weeks. Could of any harm come from this?

^^^^i believe you can raise your E2 levels with doses greater than 500iu per day.

i can't imagine you could have done too much damage with just 4 doses...but i'm not an expert, by any means.

Wouldnt worry one bit about it ct, slightly over for that short of time isnt gonna hurt ya, ur not injecting bleech (at least we hope not)

Just an FYI, men who use HCG for fertility purposes inject up to 3000 iu's a day for a few weeks at a time...that should put our dosages for TRT purposes into perspective.

Yes, did that for 3 years and it worked fine.

Cut back to make my injection schedule more easy to remember and went to M-W-F HCG schedule and don't see a bit of difference...just easier to remember when I need to inject!
