I go for labs on a reg basis. At age 53, I got tired of the fatigue, and about a year ago my PCP did a complete work up, exam etc. Said I was in the low range on my vitamin D. put me on vitamin d, 1 gel cap weekly x 8 weeks 50000 UNT. Although I may have needed it, I did not see any difference in my energy level, and even felt more fatigued. Thats when I fired that DOC, because my T was clearly very low, and did not say a thing to me about it. Some docs just hate it when you ask for your medical records, and it is wise to do so.
I think now Vitamin D, and a good old B-12 shot would really do some good. It is def a balance, just amazes me how come some doctors, cannot understand how to balance ones body. To top it off this DOC told me at the start, that everything was being checked out. In the end It was yeah everything checked, but kept info from me.
Sorry for the rant.......that doc really got under my skin in several ways. I was so tired with fatigue it was difficult to make all those exams,test,lab appointments, then to have info withheld, just is not right.
