Thinking of TRT

Hi guys

I'm 24

Before I started my first cycle (which I'm still currently on) my test level was around 8.2. This falls into normal ranges but it's at the lowest possible point which can be classed as normal. I felt tired, gaining fat, depressed, no motivation etc. My 'low' testesterone condition was probably caused by using finasteride 1mg everyday for 4 years to save my hair. I believe that using this drug before my body had fully developed was a bad idea - and now I guess I'm stuck with a low testestetone condition for my life.

I impulsively started using AAS (testesterone 500mg/week) and I feel great like I used to when I was younger. Making good gains once again.

I'm worried when i come off AAS as planned, I will return to the horrible feelings associated with low T. I did have an endocrinologist appointment booked but stupidly decided to cancel it - because I was convinced the doctor would say "your within normal ranges and we can't tie you TRT" - this would almost have certainly happened.

So I was thinking about self prescribing myself 100mg a week of testesterone enanthate for life to avoid going back to that horrible place of low T.

I just don't know if it's a good idea.. should I finish my cycle, get bloods, see how I feel and take it from there? Or should I run a TRT dose once my cycle of 500mg a week is over?

I really thinking doing TRT myself is the only way which I can avoid going back to having low testesterone.

Before I ask any specific questions about TRT, what do you guys recommend I do?

Make sure you do a pct as suggested in the Successful First Cycle Thread. Follow everything else in there as well. Self-prescribing T is never a good idea. At your age if you have low T there is probably a reason for it as it's doubtful it's idiopathic. You need full BW several months after pct to fully assess things and hopefully find the issue and correct it.

I am almost certain the finasteride caused the low T condition.

I will follow your advice and finish my cycle then PCT as planned. Then I will get bloods taken.

Is it possible that PCT can increase my test to a higher level than what it was before my cycle? I've heard of guys who have low T just using nova and clomid and it raises natural test production? If this is the case I doubt its permanent?

Negative. Fina will not cause low T. If anything it could raise it a bit.
Wait at least two months post pct for BW.
Sure pct can raise T levels. it's what it's supposed to do. It hyper-stimulates the pituitary and signals the testies to produce more T. Question is once pct is over how much production will a person maintain without the extra stimulation. This is where BW comes into play.
Serms (mostly clomid) are actually used as a viable form of TRT by some doctors.

Hey K, thought fin did cause or enhance LowT??? I must be mistaken if you are saying it doesn't. This must be a popular myth because many are on the assumption it does.
