Well not many members here felt any better on clomid alone.

24 it's indeed a young age for TRT but when other options failed it would be very stupid not to do it, because we men need Test to build our lives, so it's especially important at our age. What sense makes a life on low T with the burden of symptoms we are both acquainted with to only get treatment in our older years? What's the logic behind that? What does "too young" mean? In faces of zero alternatives while treatment is easily available I'll tell you: absolutely nothing.

Your first endo has been reckless and should have prescribed you a pituitary MRI. Did the uro check your testes? Varicocele is a possibility, it has been excluded? Did he run an ultrasound or echography?

As for your levels, free T is poor because SHBG is high. Clomid has the unfortunate side of upregulating SHBG. Were your SHBG lower, your total T levels would also be lower (like they did), because of increased excretion. That's because you appear to be underfunctioning at both primary (testes) and secondary (hypothalamus/pituitary) level.

Given how long you have suffered symptoms, I'd say there are not many ways around - you should get on TRT. HCG will also shut you down like exogenous Test would, the you would have to use clomid to resume LH output, in the hope HCG made your testes work better. You can try this way of course, but I wouldn't expect much results from it. It can also be used as a form of TRT, or be included in a regular TRT protocol.

Imo the best advise I can give to you is to get your uro as empathetic as possible to your problems, you have to explain in detail how much this problem is burdening your sex and affective life, as well as hindering your studies and career.

Get your T man, you need it now. Best of luck.

You got both low total T and free T, which is as Biz pointed out due to SHBG.
    But when total T is low too, and it's really low, I would do the following;
Check if you got any viable sperm and if so freeze it (if that's an option),
because that's where TRT will be a problem; kids.

Otherwise staying on hcg with your TRT might save some spermatogenesis,
but you'd really have to use HMG with the TRT to be sure.

If I were you I'd ask for TRT, but know about the danger to your fertility.
That's why their reluctant to put you on TRT,
or that should be the only reason IMO.
So make sure they know you know what TRT entails as far as having kids go.

Yes will do. the clinic does all the sperm stuff too so i had a sperm analysis and everything was good except volume was low. He said that if i do do TRT we will freeze sperm in the clinic and it shouldnt be a problem. I will mention that being my major concern but it seemed like it was not a huge issue when we talked about it. im so nervous for this week i will be devastated if he makes me go back on clomid again. pray for me lol.

Have you had your testicles examined or scanned?

You need to find out to what your c-reactive protein is reacting to... its not normal to be elevated.

    Great news guys!!!!

i just got off the phone with my urologist and he's happy to treat me with TRT. I will be banking sperm for a few appointments and then start. he said he's fine with me doing weekly cypionate injections. I understand biweekly is better but did not want to push my luck ha.

Im glad you got what you wanted and you will feel better, but as someone who started trt in their 20's it can become a burden as well. Its great for the first fes years, but after about 5 years I started to tire of the injections. Sometimes I will take a few months off of injecting. You will feel amazing when you get started. Good luck with everything.

    Thanks guys!!!

I know injecting will get old fast but it's a very small price to pay.

when i meet with him to start trt ill ask about hcg . i did not want to press my luck with stuff but he is very open minded and caring so im sure it wont be a problem.

i guess ideally i want biweekly cypionate injections and biweekly hcg?
    is there anything else?
i dont have to worry about AI until i get labs back right?
anything for overall health besides lifting, cardio, diet?

Congratulations on your success, hope you will feel better soon.

Pinning can get fun if you think that way, plus once weekly it's not that bothersome. Start that way, AI shouldn't be required straight away, but depend on dosage. Eventually, you can move to e5d or even bi-weekly injections later.

HCG is always a good idea. Standard dosage is 250IU 2x weekly, subq.

Also, supplement with no less than 5000IU of D3 daily, your levels are extremely low.

Of course getting into a training and diet regime can only benefit your overall health well-being.

Hey guys how important is it to start HCG right along with test. I am planning to have my first test injection this friday but dont have a meeting with my doctor for probably a month to ask about HCG. I could ask him over email but id rather wait. is it ok to start HCG a little later than TRT?

Just had my first shot of TRT!! Needless to say i am very excited. i found a great doctor who is very supportive and kind. thanks for all the help. He prescribed me weekly cypionate shots of 180 mg. how is that for dosing? i plan on just injecting my quads since that seems the easiest. i will get new bloods in a month.

    Sounds great.

Quads are fine but I do suggest to rotate sites at least with glutes,

and don't forget your vitamin D3.

Nay, let it be, PIP will get better over time. Subq changes delivery drastically, and it's not advised with large weekly pins.

PIP also depends on pinning technique, spot, needle gauge, etc. Be sure to inject slowly, practice proper sanitization.

Just curious as to why you would delete your original post and other post herein? Could possibly help other people experiencing the same things you are...

Not too sure. I know I clicked your thread because i am trying to get on TRT as I am borderline low and am looking to gain some knowledge from others experience. What was your total test and free test numbers? Any issue getting the doc to prescribe you test?

Hi i was around 370 for my lowest reading and my free test was always below the lower end of the range. i saw 3 endos and all said test was out of the question. a couple years later i saw a uro who specialized in sexual health and put me on test right when my low reading came back!!
3 weeks in and feeling really good so far!

Give things time and you'll feel even better. It takes time to dial in. I'm not a fan of once weekly protocols but it works fine for some. Also, take the time to learn how to inject delts and glutes.
