Doc claiming “We must inject you in House, FDA will outlaw self injections soon”

Been on TRT for 2 months (androgel 2 pumps daily) and have not had any improvements. My labs prior to starting had my T at 306 and 326 (280-960). After 2 months my T level was 280.

Discussed switched treatments with my doc, who says the only way I can inject is in his office and every 2 weeks. I have taken advice of this board and looked for a new doc. However, I found his rationale interesting. He is claiming that it’s very likely that the FDA will soon stop allowing self injecting and that it will all move to in house. Has anyone else heard the same?

I think that’s just his excuse...

That's a ridiculous statement by the doctor. If that's the case what will diabetics do who have to inject daily? An injections and injection.....

Your doc does not know jack shit. Follow the money trail. For every office injection office visit (administered by a nurse no less) he gets to charge your insurance (or you) for a visit every 2 weeks for the rest of your life. He doesn't give a rip of your health, he's looking for the money. Time to find a modern day doc that really cares about your health.

That was almost my exact response. To which the nurse chimes in and said “that’s totally different, people can abuse test the same way they can pain pills. That doesn’t happen with things like insulin

It’s clear to me they suck and don’t know shit, but The Who FDA comment did concern me a bit

Ma'am, trust me, we also abuse insulin right along side of testosterone . Just as Ronnie Coleman.

    I rarely see you swear.

Good points on the money trail.

When I was on legit trt, I was told I have to take home injection, as insurance will not cover weekly injections.

Wish my doctor was as sensible on protocol as he was on that aspect of treatment.

If this was true, there would be no online clinics like Defy Medical and others.

I agree that is a money decision by the Dr. It doesn't matter what the FDA "might" do. My insurance will only pay for test for home injections and will not pay for a Dr visit injection. And I have good insurance.

Doesn't happen with insulin??? Again, the nurse in this case, doesn't jack shit about bodybuilding. Check the other forums on this site and count how many posts discuss the use of the anabolic hormone insulin (yes, it is an anabolic hormone). Also, it is MUCH more dangerous than T to self inject because the difference between a effective dose and a lethal dose are only a few ticks on an insulin syringe.

What does something that may happen in the future have to do with right now? Because you inject at home, that will make it so it can never be done in house?

Another reason not to use a doc for HRT
They'll have to take my 10ml vials from my COLD DEAD HANDS!!!

    TRT changed my fucking life
The only regret I have was not starting sooner but I didn't know/understand how important the hormonal balance truly was

Might be worth it if you get to do your own injection into the nurse afterwards...
