u can also use 27/28 1/2 inch

More specifically something like:
1cc (U-100), 30 ga X 5/16 in Length Insuliin Syringe
or
1cc (U-100), 29 ga X 1/2 in Length Insulin Syringe

Any insulin needle will work fine, it's just a matter of your preference. A small child will want the smallest needle, an adult usually doesn't care much. Nobody can tell you what needle you're going to be more comfortable with. Some people can't see very well and have a hard time using the smallest needle. If you want the smallest needle then just ask for the smallest insulin needle.
