marion jones injecting HGH in leg

on 20/20 Victor Conte said that he witnessed Marion Jones injecting HGH into her leg....
my question is, why was she injecting it in her leg... i know u can inject it in the upper quad, about where your hip flexer area is..but was she doing it there for a different reason? like could she "spot inject" in her legs to make her faster and possibly gain new muscle cells in her legs or was it just a coincidence that she is a sprinter injecting HGH in her leg???

He said she did not like injecting in the abdomen. She is so lean I imagine finding a good spot is hard and her leg is as good as any.
