A couple natural insulin questions.
My mom recently found out that she is borderline Diabetes. She told me that her doctor said that you only have a certain amount of insulin in your body, and that once you use it all you will have probs. Well, I would think that most bodybuilders would have diabetes if this were true since we eat carbs all day. Can somebody please expalin the insulin supply and reproduction for me. I just dont understand it all.

"Only have a certain amount of insulin in your body"? I'd switch doctors....
Insulin is produced in the pancreas to shuttle glucose when it's present in the blood stream.
The liver then 'disposes' of the insulin when it's no longer required.
I dont understand the statement he made that there is only a certain amount of insulin in your body...

Yea, I think she needs a new doctor. I just read the Insulin profile in Anabolics 2005, and her doc is retarted. The guy told her that your body has one supply of Insulin, and that the body doesnt keep on producing it, and once you use up that supply then its gone forever.

Ya that statement form your doc is nonsense, everytime you ingest glucose (carbs) your insulin is released in response, and shuttles into muscle, liver, fat cells alike.
