do all you slin users use a glucose meter?

is it absolutly necessary to use a glucose meter every time you use slin? can you do it this way without a glucose meter? if you start at a low dose pwo and increase the dose by 1iu every workout until you reach the dose you can tolerate. cos doing it this way would be safe since you are only uping the dose by 1iu pwo so if you start feeling hypo symtoms you can cut the dose back by 1-2iu from then one

I used to use one at first. It played a very important role in monitoring my BG which kept me out of a hypo state. Now I know where I stand and dont really use it too often as after my many runs I know my tolerance. I still have it on hand and use it periodically.

IMO it should be used at all times for safety measures, at least the first few runs. Increasing 1iu ED is the safest way to do it but you still dont want to run into problems. Depending on your workouts or how you ate around injection time will also throw off the measurement. Its better to be safe then sorry. Just b/c you were able to tolerate X amount one day doesnt mean the next day will be the same.

Too many factors involved to not be safe and purchase a Glucose monitor.

lol Never used one, but I just went overboard on carbs and slowly lowered them until I felt comfortable
I can get away with 60carbs-10Iu's slin from what I figured. Probably less but I don't like to push it.

isnt more carbs better? the more carbs you can get into your muscles the better right? or will excess become fat?

lower the better without going hypo. Excess is usually stored.
