I have done better than that. I ran HGH pretty much from the time I was 38 until age 45. I got off of it (and everything else for that matter) to participate in a research study a collegue was spear-heading.
I have always had my blood-work done every six weeks, and I can say that over the course of what is now 10 or so months down the line, my hormone levels have returned to where they were when I started my experimentation, high normal for my age range. When I got off of everything, my IGF levels rolled off over a few blood readings and have stayed level from there on out.
That being said, for the most part I ran my HGH in as unobstructive way as I could, running my injections at 4am, 9am, and 1pm, and while I did run ED for a time, and EOD, and about every other combination I could devise, I ended up settling in on 5/2 for most of those years.
I would say based on my experiences and the experiences of many others, if you use HGH intelligently, it is possible to not de-rail your own levels. The only caveats to this would be starting HGH too early (ie before your endocrine system has developed and matured), taking extreme doses over long periods at bad times (ie taking injections 5-6 times a day with a major dose just before bed). Other than just being silly with it, it is certainly possible to run HGH without incident.

Excellent, like reading your posts RED! I'm 10 years older than you so GH
seems to heal my beat up system. If I had known I would have lived so long
I would have taken better care of my body.

That should work out just fine. I would run 2.5 - 3 IU's very first thing in the morning 5/2. At that level, it will be a full replacement dose to the levels of a 20 year old, and will be sufficient for its part of an anti-aging program, it just isn't going to be sufficient for any significant increase in muscle-building applications.

RB, did you ever notice any difference in LBM gains when using a larger dose 3 or 4 times a week rather than a smaller steady dose ED or 5on 2off? I have heard several times that the muscle building properties of gh are greatly increased when doing large doses 3 or 4 times a week and the fatloss is actually not as noticable...which is usually quite the opposite with a smaller ED dose.
I have played with my dosage a little and I have mainly stayed at 6iu's 5on/2off, but have also tried 8ius. I believe I would like the 8 ED better, but I hate to use more just for the sake of using more and have it not really make a significant difference. I realize it is highly individualized but did you ever find a dosage that you found was a nice combination of muscle increase, fatloss and not overkill with the daily dosage and price?

I was under the impression from a study done on children that it seemed to show that the potential problem wasn't a diminution of normal HGH levels but instead the possiblitiy of some kind of longterm resistance. That was the study that showed better longterm results from EOD rather than ED injections.
Everything I've read says that levels return to normal pretty quickly, that the real unanswered question is whether supraphysiologic (or is it super? whatever!) doses cause some kind of resistance reaction.
Anybody know anything further about that, assuming I made any sense in the first place?

for a average 20year old how much ?
gh produced naturally x day in = IU ?
igf llr3 produced naturally x 1 day in= mcg ?

igf-1 = dependant on GH levels
GH = approx. 2-4ius in a 20 yr old male
