IU's to CC conversion. Help for a noob :)
I posted this in the noob section as well. I am embarrassed to ask this, because I feel its somethign I should know...but how can I learn if I dont ask...right? I am, just out of curiosity, trying to figure out how much IU's are in 1 cc. I am trying to learn here...not for my use...but just for the extra info. I see many people talking about IU's when it comes to Growth Hormone , but CC's when it comes to Test. I am taking HGH, but my advisor does all the measuring for me. I would just like to know. Thanks guys!

A cc (cubic centimeter) is equal to a ml (milliliter). They measure volume. For example if a vial contains 10 ml of liquid, that is the same as 10 ccs. A mg (milligram) measures the dose of a drug, A mg is equal to 1/1000 of a gram. A mcg (microgram) is equal to 1/1000 of milligram. An IU (International Unit) is also used to measure the dose of a preparation.

Here is a formula that should be easy to use in conversion for HGH dosages It is a kind of cross multiplication
IU's per vial/amount of water mixed one one side and dosage IU's/x (which will be the dosage on the insulin syringe or converted to cc's
Example 1: 27IU's per vial/2.7cc of bac water 2IU dosage/X
Cross multiply 2 x 2.7 = 5.4
Divide 5.4/27 = .2 cc or the 20 mark on an insulin syringe. This will be the equivelant of taking 2IU's
Example 2: 18IU's per vial/1.8cc of bac water 4IU dosage/X
Cross multipy 4 x 1.8cc = 7.2
Divide 7.2/18 = .4cc or the 40 mark on an insulin syringe. This will be the equivelant of taking 4IU's
Hope this helps out a little.

Thank you for the help guys. I read that its pretty much how much BW water I put in there. Its a 10iu mini bottle in a kit of hgh. So if I put in 2 cc of whater...then commen sense would tell me that 1 cc would be 5 iu of the med. Thanks again for your help!
