in regards to IGF, I know you are supposed to fatigue which ever muscle(s) you will be shooting


is there a certain kind of stress or fatigue on the muscles that needs to be used in order to get the best possible absorbtion?
take for instances the following 3 examples, (this is just an example for the LEGS)


soccer/boxer training with sprints and road work

vs

Powerlifter doing heavy squats

vs

basketball player using plyometric box jumps


this is 3 separate ways to stress the same muscles in the legs, are there any advantages in absorbtion or use, are we just obligated to stress with weightlifting etc or?

I was just curious because I do a combination of the 3
