Increasing Insulin Levels with Glucose Treats
I have a feeling this is a silly question, but is it possible for you to naturally increase your body's insulin levels to an effective level by eating many glucose based treats (eg. jelly beans, strawberry creams, etc) directly after your workout?
I'd never consider using insulin basically I'm not into the whole "coma risk" thing, but I was just wondering if eating high levels of glucose after you workout would have a small effect on your body's insulin production, and would that be effective in building muscle?
I suspect not, but thought I'd throw it out there...

i think to stimulate the release of anywhere near the same amount of insulin you'd have to eat kilos and kilos of sugar

not good, would lead to huge fat gains due to the ammount of cals involved. Also fast rack you for diabetes type 2.
