    Insulin Experts

I need some advice been reading a lot on insulin and been thinking about starting a cycle but I have a couple of questions first. Is there that much of a difference in Humalog verse Humulin R? I think here in California U can buy both over the counter and second I work all day and don't get to the gym till around 4:15 PM work out till 5-5:15 PM this is when I would take my insulin shot, my question is how long would a guy have to stay awake to be safe? I usally go to bed around 9-10 PM Thanks

Stocky nailed it. Humulin R is the next best if you cant get Humalog. But humalog is the fastest acting and therefore out the fastest as well. If you take your shot around 5 going to bed at 9 is fine.

If you can't get Humalog, try get Novorapid, it acts slightly faster than Humalog, but nothing you could notice, so it would feel like taking Humalog. Humalin-R I wouldn't use, it's onset time and active duration period is way too long.

Only Humulin R is available OTC. Others are script only. Try searching the online pharms in canada for humalog.
