    GH bloating

What is is that causes bloating while on GH? Obviously it is not estrogen related so it cannot be remedied with AIs. What can be done to prevent it?

start with no more than 0,2-0,3mg (0,6-0,9iu) and ramp up 0,0,2mg every week so your body can adjust to the new gh levels.

agreed a slower ramp up would be your best solution pb

I started at 2iu a day, bloating lasted about a week and a half then it just went. Wish i had known of something to help but a week and a half is not long, though it can be a pain when you're trying to eat.

I think it's likely related to the prolactin increase you get from GH, for obvious reasons. You'll need to be more careful (very) about sodium intake either way...don't let it get too high, but keep it at the lowest level you can (without getting absurdly restrictive).

    evening gh administration no bloat?!:

Growth Hormone and Prolactin Action in a Teleost Anabas testudineus(Bloch): Effect of the Time of Administration
    Authors: Leena S.; Oommen O.V.

Circadian rhythms play a very important role on metabolic process and have considerable effects on growth, especially in ectotherms. Like variation in hormone levels, the sensitivity of target cells may show diurnal or seasonal fluctuations. The aim of this study was to compare the effects of morning versus evening injections of growth hormone and prolactin on malic enzyme, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, isocitrate dehydrogenase, aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase and Na + ,K + -ATPase in a teleost Anabas testudineus . Activities of malic enzyme, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and isocitrate dehydrogenase of the two control groups themselves differ significantly at morning and evening. Early morning administration of growth hormone increases malic enzyme, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and isocitrate dehydrogenase activities while evening administration of growth hormone does not effect these enzymes. Transaminase activities were stimulated by morning and evening administration of GH and PRL. Na + ,K + -ATPase activity was stimulated by morning administration and inhibited by evening treatment of both hormones. The results reveal that a given hormone may provide a different message to the target tissues at different periods of the day.

found this article yesterday...really good read..this is also interesting:
(increase hydrogen ion = increase water retention)

"To our knowledge, alterations in acid-base balance in children with GHD have not been documented before this report. Studies in laboratory animals, however, have demonstrated an effect of GH on acid-base homeostasis.3,4,16,17 Hypophysectomized rats have been shown to have a renal acidification defect that can be corrected with GH therapy.3,4,17 Administration of GH results in a dose-dependent increase in net hydrogen ion secretion through stimulation of sodium-hydrogen antiporter activity.3,4,17 In a simulation of catabolic illness, rats subjected to surgical stress and maintained on total parenteral nutrition developed metabolic acidosis, which was improved with either GH or IGF-1 treatment.16 Normal acid-base balance was restored using combined treatment with GH and IGF-1.
