Humalog Timing Question for you Gear?

I have been researching Slin for a little while now and will continue to research for probably another 6 months before even thinking of jumping in. My question is, can you shoot 6 to 10 ius of Humalog pre-workout and take your simple sugars and protien. And then after workout have a meal. Reason I ask is like most people I workout from 5:30pm to 7:30pm and if I wait until 7:30pm to shoot the slin, I can't go to bed at 9:30 or 10:00pm without still being in the window of hypo danger.
If I take the shot at around 4:30pm, I wil be out of danger by bedtime.
Will I still get shuttling results pre-workout?

A dose of insulin pre-workout wouldn't make sense and would be dangerous practise. Some claim they experience "the pump" feeling when using insulin pre-workout but I still canot understand how insulin can create such an effect. Insulin's main purpose is to boost recovery, therefore the best time to take insulin is PWO, not pre-workout.

If you would still like to have a go at using insulin pre-workout then I suggest you carry a lot of glucose on you throughout your training session, but as I said I really don't recomend using insulin pre-workout because I don't see the point.

The problem with insulin is that you must be awake for the amount of time the it's active for. Sometimes staying awake for that amount of time can be an issue for users due to their busy lifestyles. If that's the case I highly suggest you put insulin aside untill you can spare enough time for it.

Humalog is in your system for 4.5 - 5hrs post injection, so I suggest you stay awake for at least that amount of time, and yes if you take insulin pre-workout the nutrients will still be shuttled into cells PWO. As long as insulin is active anything you consume will be forced into cells.

    Hope you work something out.

    Best of luck.

Thanks Gear I will probably hold off on it for know. If I workout from 5:30pm to 7:30pm there is no way I can stay up till 12:30with work the next day.I assume the your blood sugar takes a plumit during streniuos exercise andthat is the reason for it not being safe prior to workout?
