Definitely not typical. Sometimes I hit a sensitive spot...or the cold water can irritate

    Vette,

ok thanks ill try and get my post count up a bit more. Yeah its from a pretty reputable underground, my source swears by this stuff and i saw him also taking this select brand of somatotropin. However money is not an issue with me and i would rather take U.s. pharmaceutical brand if its really a higher quality, bottom line i just want the best.

its more like a stinging type feeling, do you think this is present when using Nutropin AQ ,since it comes pre-constituted and can stay stable for so long?

Did some more research, here is what i found out why my growth has been slightly stinging.

My 11 year old son is currently on Protropin and has been for the past 2 years. I have heard rumors that the drug Protropin will be phased out in the near future. Is this true? If so, is there a timeframe in which this will occur? What is the difference between Protropin and Nutropin? I have heard that patients who switch from Protropin to Nutropin experience a burning sensation when the drug is injected. What causes this and does this sensation cease after a period of use? Thanks.

Protropin is being phased out this year, although for those finishing in the near future it will still be made available. Nutropin has the same amino acid sequence as natural GH without the extra methionine (amino acid) attached to Protropin as part of the earlier manufacturing process. The extra methionine does not affect activity. Stinging may be caused by the preservative in the premixed AQ product. Nutropin "plain" is mixed just like Protropin and is not associated with any stinging. Only some patients feel stinging, and it may resolve on its own, but don't count on it.

That little exert was from a website to answer questions about kids with dawrfism taking gh therapy. The questions are answered by doctors and trained professionals.

If anyone else has tried this brand please let me know how you liked it and what your gains were.

The only kind I've done that burns is nutropin. Every other kind i've tried has had no burning sensation at all.

I was trying to find out whether or not burning is a side effect. I have using gentrophin for more than six months. My doctor actually gave me source to buy from Europe and it is made by Genentech.

It has never heard until the last batch although I will often have a big red rash where I inject it.

I used to work in pharma and I have a friend at Genentech who told me a localized rash is normal and ok. I have not been in touch about the recent burning.

I just guess I want to know that this is normal and okay,

A rash sounds like your body is releasing antibodies to fight the gh.

Genentech's gh is nutropin, are you sure what you're taking is from genentech?
