IGF-1 and Blood sugar dangers.
I have been searching for the answers to this question and to be honest I do not have enought time to read through all the post to find the answer. I am in the middle of Tax season and am way to busy. I am about to start IGF-1 and want to know if taking protein shakes with glutamine and dextrose will be enough or do I need something else? I am going to start off with 50mcgs a day PWO Tuesday-Sat with 2 days off and run that for 4 weeks on and then 4 weeks off. Does this sound right? I am not looking to get big mass but lean up and get quality muscle again. I am in decent shape now but I have some fat in the common places and my muscles do not feel hard or full ever. They used to. I am currently 10 days into a strict diet, and am taking in about 240-280g of protein a day along with Amino fule in each one and 57g+ of Complex Carbs in the morning and post work out by way of Max Muscle Carbo max. Other then that I eat chicken at lunch and at dinner, and am taking MAx anabol, HMG, and Thyroactivator along with CLA in a shake that has some ephedra and caffine in it. I cut out all Breads and simple sugars and limit my fat intake.
I started off at 188-190lbs 2 weeks ago at 5'10 and 19.2% BF
I messed up last week and limited my carbs tooo much and lost muscle I know I did and am wei***ng in at 178lbs and went down to 16.8%. I also laked glutamine as well.
any help would be great and please do not tell me to search, since most of the posts end up going another direction and the info is lost.Last edited by F8L Bite svt; 03-26-2008 at 05:46 PM.

Seems to me that you need to focus more on your diet and bf% then on any peptides or hormones.

Seems to me that I already am since I dropped over 2% body fat in a week. I just tested it today and I lost another .8%, and I am actually 180 according to the doctor scale with no shoes . I am down to 16%BF. So that means I dropped 3 % in 11 days and 8-10lbs. How is my diet not in order? SHould I of dropped 9% by now? I dont think that is possible. I wanted info on taking the IGF. I have a basic understanding of it, but figured someone would give me a more pin pointed method to avoid any issues. Guess I wont get that here.

The bolded comment above tells me that your diet sucked but seems to be improved since you've been dropping BF%. It kind of gives me the info that you are just starting to lift OR are just getting back into it. The only other thing besides those 2 is that you had no real diet while working out which is why you are the way you are now. So I revert back to my previous statement. Worry on your diet and dropping your BF% with that + cardio. IGF delivers minimal fat loss but more so focusing on lean muscle gains (which is not much at all, more then likely 2-4lbs within the 4 weeks your on). Dont expect the gains you would from AAS tho, IGF1 takes a lot more time to gain weight. Drinking a protein shake with dextrose and some complex carbs will combat any hypoglycemic sides you may run into post injection. Some people go hypo, some people don't. Me personally Ive gone very hypo from IGF injection as I could tell that it was messing with my blood sugar levels. I have a lot on here of when I ran it which you can check out if you would like. It laid out how one can take it with good results.
Also realize that IGF1 not only grows muscle tissue but all other tissue as well so if you have any pre-existing tumors it would be a bad idea as IGF1 increases cell growth and multiplication. Get yourself checked out by a doc to be on the safe side.
