Question Low Test Levels and Hypothiroidism ? Help!!!

    Hey Bros,

I have been concidering doing a cycle of test before (23 years old) Now that I am 27 years old I have been thinking about it more and more. Now this is where I need all the help that I can get from you. My sister has hypothyroidism for about six years now. In the last four years I have been suffering form depression on and off, gone to the docs and gotten better, but now I am always tired, loosing hair, dry skin etc. All symtoms of Hypothyroidis for a male. I read somewhere that taking your body temperature first thing in the morning can help you tell if your hormone levels are low, in my case I also think that I have low test levels since I remember, late puverty, not the strongest person in the world and I do train and eat heathy all the time.

Here are my temps reading for the last 10 days first thing in the morning as I wake up:

    Day 1: 97.1 F
    Day 2: 96 F
    Day 3: 96.2 F
    Day 4: 95.8 F
    Day 5: 96.5 F
    Day 6: 95.5 F
    Day 7: 97 F
    Day 8: 96 F
    Day 9: 95.8 F
    Day 10: 96.8 F

I am going to get some blood test done and find a good doctor to see if I am a good candidate for HGH and TRT. Do you think my body temperature is a good indication that something is not right? Thanks for you help bros.

There is no test you can perform at home which can tell you your hormone levels. You really need to see a qualafied physician for accurate results.

Since hypothyroidism is a thyroid gland related issue your doc will more than likely perform a TSH test. There are many other tests which can be performed in your case but I would say your doc is more than likely to start by measuring your TSH.

First you need to find out if have any thyroid issues, and if so how severe the problem is. Also, if there is anything else that's not excatly right then we need to know. Once we know everything we will be able to give you more of an accurate answer about if you should/shouldn't be using AAS.

Hope all your tests return normal.

    Good luck.

Thanks Gear, I have been reading your post and I admire U You are very educatated in the Hormone Department. I have been dealing with depression and I am on Wellbutrin and Lexapro as a treatment for it. I feel (not depress or at least I funtion) but I fell very tired and have all the symtoms of Hypotyroid, my sister has it that is why I stated to read more about it and as I mentioned I have been reading about HGH and TRT and have seen the important of the thryroid and how it really affects your everyday life, I am starting to think that maybe my depression is caused in part by a thyroid problem and low test levels. One more think back in 2004 I gained 80 pound in a five month period and it took me more than two years to loose it, with great dieat and a lot of cardio it was very hard to loose the weight, I thought that the weight was the reason of the fatigue and the low self steem but now I look better than ever and still have the same symtom, from your experience do you think that I am on the right track?

The weight gain is a hypothyroidism symptom, and since it runs in your family I would defenitely go for a check up buddy. When you see your doc make sure you tell him excatly what you think. You are defenitely on the right track as long as you start by getting your self checked out.

    Good luck again.
