Insulin Pre-Workout
First let me say that I in no way advise anyone to take insulin as it is very dangerous and can kill you if misused.
Second, I've ran a few insulin cycles and would say I am fairly well experienced with the signs of hypo and how my body reacts.
I've been using slin in the am and also post workout.
I've become interested in using slin pre workout mainly for the pumps and the other added benefits.
I'm trying to find some solid info but there's some conflicting reports.
Which gives the best pumps/results. Slin taken directly pre workout? or 45min pre workout?
I usually peak 45 minutes to 60 minutes after my slin shot using humalog.
Thanks.

The "pump" feeling while on insulin is a myth. I don't know where people get that from. Insulin will only make you feel hypo throughout your session giving you the opposite feeling of a pump. Stick to using insulin PWO when it's actually benefiting you.

pre workout sounds really dangerous. probably too dangerous...
infact probably deadly
excersize decreases blood sugar, and so does insulin... you wouldn't want to do something that decreases your blood sugar even lower than already needed to remain stable
just use it post workout after you've twitched the muscle fibers

slin preworkout is very dangerous. i know someone that takes a third of his slin preworkout and the rest before his last set but i would never recomend that and it can be deadly

Gear, I don't think its a myth, as I've taken it pre-workout and the pumps have been insane.... muscle glycogen stores are replenished very fast and stay that way throughout the entire time insulin is active.
Drinking a carbohydrate/protein/bcaa drink while working out is a must if you take it preworkout, hypoglycemia can set it very quickly. I usually sip on the drink in small amounts between sets.
The upside to taking it preworkout is that glycogen stores are replenished right away, increased pump, your muscles aren't starved for protein, you curb cortisol and catabolism entirely while insulin is active in the bloodstream. The downside is danger of going hypo real fast, putting on lots of adipose due to excess carb consumption at the worst case, or not burning any adipose in the best case...
The cons outweigh the pros though. You can get a good pump taking a NO product/creatine/etc. And you can sip on a carbohydrate/bcaa/protein shake while you workout to replenish glycogen as your own insulin will take care of that... and no risk of going hypo.
Try it if you must, but I doubt you'll stay doing it for very long. I know I didn't.

Polska.
I understand the mechanics behind using insulin pre-workout, but I still can't see that creating "the pump" feeling. I personally have never experienced anything as such when using insulin pre-workout. I've actually tried to use insulin pre-workout quite a few different ways and never experienced the pump feeling. Maybe it's just me.
Thanks for your input.
