    Humatrope **

I am prescribed 1 mg daily 5 on/2 off. I know this has been discussed before, I have been reading and searching for 6 months. But would I benefit more from doing 1.5iu in the am and 1.5iu pwo or later. Just looking for some recent opinions.
I know it not alot compared to what some are doing, but its all I'm getting for now and it is covered by insurance.
    BTW 38 yo 5'8" 155lbs
    Thanks for the input.

I know...I thought everybody rounded it up....this is from Lillys' website:

VIAL — Each vial of Humatrope contains 5 mg somatropin (15 IU or 225 nanomoles); 25 mg
mannitol; 5 mg glycine; and 1.13 mg dibasic sodium phosphate. Each vial is supplied in a
combination package with an accompanying 5-mL vial of diluting solution. The diluent contains
Water for Injection with 0.3% Metacresol as a preservative and 1.7%
    glycerin.

Since it was brought up, do you think Lilly is rounding up or does there 5mg vial contain 15iu of somatropin?

Anyway this is what I have, any input on whether I should split the dose?

    Thanks

Thanks....most days I will split, some days I'm gonna have to take it all in the am
On work out days , what's better before or PWO?
If after, should I still avoid carbs for an hour?

For the size of the the dose you are talking about, it isn't going to be as critical whether you take it all in the a.m. or split it up (unless you are really sensitive to HGH and have an especially bad time with sides). I would let your schedule dictate the dosing time and frequency, but one inject a day for a 1mg dose is fine and dandy.

If you are going to take it around workout time, I would in general take it before the workout ... exception being on days that your workout is going to be really abbreviated and the intensity is going to be off the charts. In that environment, your body will be primed to give you your own monster secretion of HGH ... shame to rob yourself of it by having Somatostatin levels raging from an injection of HGH before you got rolling. Normal length, average intensity workout isn't going to matter. Right after a workout, your body really, really needs to refuel your muscle glycogen levels ... so I want to take in some simple sugars without having to worry about soaring blood glucose levels. HGH before the workout, followed by some carbs (which will in turn amp up your insulin levels) after the workout should give you a pretty good environment for muscle feeding and repair.

In general, I would suggest you keep the carbs out of the picture for a time right after the question if possible. While as a one-time event it really isn't that big a deal, I can tell you first hand that as a cycle long lifestyle carbs around injection time can lead to some pretty intense bouts of insulin resistance ... something I don't wish on anyone. Unless you are just genetically blessed and don't have to worry about such (and know that is the case for you), I would take the safe road.

Thank you guys for the replys...this board has been a wealth of knowledge for me...Red I know you've heard this before, but you deserve it for all the time you put in..your advice is invaluable.
I split my dose today, am and pre-workout (after reading one of Reds' older posts.)I agree, I need to eat after working out, too. I also think I might be a little insulin sensitive because with experimenting with eating around injection, I got really tired.
For the most part the 1mg am dose is going well, too. As soon as I wake up with 50 mcg T-4 and 15 mcg T-3 along with 1000mg glutamine. Then a healthy bkfast a good hour later. Do you think that is good?
I'll inject as my schedule dictates, I think I read someone said(prob Red) it didnt matter so much when, as long as they got their weekly dosage in.

I know it's early (end of 3rd week) but I havent felt hardly anything. Maybee a little placebo effect in the gym, some good sleep (and cool dreams),and the lethargy, which i combat with caffeine. I've done my homework, I know I am not going to see alot and I know it is going to take time. I am in it for the long haul though and am hoping for the well being benifets, a little fat loss and and a little increase in LBM. Is it going to happen?
Something I dont see too much on, what is everybodys opinion on gh increasing strength?
    Thanks again for the input!
