Can you use insulin without dextrose?
I have taken insulin in the past with AAS. It has been a while since I used AAS and or insulin and have changed a lot of my nutrition as well. (I used to be a PWO dextrose guy.) I just hate to put all that processed sugar into my body. Would it be possible to get the sugar from natural foods like fruits? And if so how much? Also I need to order some pins. Would you recommend 1 cc or 1/2 cc insulin pins?
Thank you

I wouldn't recommend fruits because you will need to eat A LOT of them. Best is a PWO shake like carbolyze, works well for me... def 1/2cc pins (easier to measure)

I found a 4.2 lb jug of carbolyze online for $37.99. Banana or Fruit punch? I'm thinking banana since I'll be mixing it with my chocolate whey.

I don't know but it must be only me. I shoot 18iu with only protein shake and one banana and a glass of skim milk.

nobody listen to this advice. not only is it wrong, its dangerous. not enough carbs = death. you need carbs and you need them fast after shooting. you can take any kind of carbs but you should definatly take it in a shake so it hits you fast and you avoid going hypo. you also want to limit your fat and sugar intake when the slin is active so dont go out and drink a 6 pack of pepsi

well a medium sized banana about 7"-7 7/8" has around 25-30 of carbs, and 12 oz of skim milk has 18 g of carbs. I would feel comfortable eating that and shooting 10 IU's of humalog.
Jacked up- What does your next meal look like? I was going to do sweet potato or brown rice and chicken or tuna.

I do a different protocol then PWO only.... Morning, PWO and a evening meal
I eat oats, red potatos, sweet potatos, waxy maize, bananas, apples for my carb sources after the injection... of course the amount of carbs I take in is what works for ME....
I also have been consuming fats (mega dosing fish oil, eating red meat) with my slin active and I haven't become a fatass.... go look how lean I am in my log... just put a pic up on page 3...
If your eating junk food and/or overeating then thats when you get fat and more than likely thats probably regardless if your taking insulin or not.... Don't try to gobble down as much food as possible while the slin is active....
There are no studies that state consuming fats with slin is bad

Jackedup, refrain from shiity advice.
I use WMS, it's passes through faster as well as better absorption

That's my boy.
We'll be bumping your fat even higher in approximately 2 months.
It's ironic however.
Just a few weeks back I posted the same statements as you have on another insulin thread, having extensive experience with the compound... PT and others jumped all over the post.
lmao.

I don't know where you got that number lol... I get up to 215 @ my heaviest, and 200 @ maintenance (maintaining between 200-205 year-round).
Haven't been that light (<>180) since my last contest prep.
I'm 5'6" by the way... He's 6'.
Every post?
lmao.
You did jump all over it... Check the thread.

Nark thank you for your time on my thread as well as others. I have completely re-vamped my workouts as of late. I guess you can say I'm doing HIT. Here is a log of my workouts. You can even put in the date for the last couple weeks and/or months. I started working out at the Monkey Bar Gym Nov 22 to get myself ready for Marine Corps boot camp.

And here is the Monkey Bar Gyms main site.

It has been close to 3 years since I have cycled anything. Just to give you an idea my prior cycle experience has included different Tests, EQ, Tren , Winny, Deca , as well as clen , T3 and slin. My heaviest was 207lbs @ about 11%.
Prior to about July 2008 I had fallen completely away from training except for a few months here and there because of many factors in my life.
Recently I have been following a Paleolithic/Zone diet at around 2,000 calories but as of late have found myself fallen into a state of over training. Hence why I am up at 3 am can't sleep. But the worst part was that I had a girl over tonight and couldn't do'er. I want to bring back in the slin to speed recovery (as well as adding more carbs and calories). I am researching how to use slin for breakfast and possibly other meals as well since I can dedicate 100% of my day to training and my diet. Any quick help is greatly appreciated since I'm hoping to be leaving for boot camp in about 5 weeks, and ideally would like to try and run slin for about a month prior to leaving so I can continue to train hard.
thank youLast edited by Jenseno9; 03-12-2009 at 02:12 AM.

Reed I too have heard great things about mega dosing fish oil. What dosages are you talking about? Any recommendations on where to pick some up for cheap?

That's a great attitude to have! Mate you seriously do nothing but push me away from this board with the way you are here. It would be nice if we could joke around once in a while and have a laugh between us, but I have more chances of winning tatts-lotto than getting a smile out of you.

From 207 lbs @ 11% to your current weight... That's a big drop mate.
Re: the Paleolithic diet (and your subsequent calorie intake)...
That's far too few calories... particularly in light of your level of activity.
I think you should modify your diet, and then address manipulating slin.
What are your macros (etc.) like at present?
Hell man, start a diet thread... or post on my thread in the diet forum.

I have nothing against you personally Gear, even if some of your information and opinions are dated.
I do have an issue however... and that is: whenever i post information, which exceeds most individuals' scope of experience, it gets jumped on... unconditionally.
So... I come here to help and inform... not to 'joke' around.
I log in... I help... I leave.
'Joking' would be simpler if everything i post, which is always on point, wasn't unceremoniously pounced on.
It's unfortunate that you feel 'pushed away from this board' as a result.
btw: PM would've been a more appropriate medium.

I'm looking at this workouts mate.
Out of curiousity: Are these all you're doing at present w/ regard to training?
I think you need a total diet revamp.
The ED issue which manifested the other night (as well as the insomina et. al.) makes me wonder about your macronutrient ratios as well.
Definitely get around to starting a diet thread mate.
btw: What supps/ergogenics (if any) are you running at present?

I think you know what I meant by saying "joke around". I don't mean come to these forums to joke around and joke around only, I mean every now and then a funny comment makes everyone smile. I don't even know why I am explaining myself when you know what I mean, but anyway...
And by the way I don't jump on anyones posts, if I disagree I'll certainly state that in a friendly manner.
Going off track a bit now, so let's end this here.

I will post my diet later today. It was quite restrictive because I was cutting. But I will post a my previous diet as well as what I'm planning for the next month.
What do you mean is this all I'm doing for my training? It is very intense and find myself on the floor after some. Also I thinking you looked it over but every exercise is scaled and I follow the power workouts.
-
Good stuff mate.
I wasn't debating the intensity.
I was curious as to whether you were doing anything else. Primarily I wanted to project an adjusted TDEE for you, so as to suggest a more appropriate caloric range. As stated above, your current range is painfully inadequate for your needs.
Lemme know when your diet goes up, so I can check it out.

[QUOTE=*Narkissos*;4493466]From 207 lbs @ 11% to your current weight... That's a big drop mate.
Yeah i know. But it was over 4 years. I have been up and down a lot. I was planning on pulling up my diet off my i-phone I had been using this app called absolute fitness to keep track of my nutrition but it won't open.
Daily macros were close to
170-180 protein -
100-110 fat -
70-90 carbs -
This seemed to be working really well for me. In the last month I gained 1.5 lbs muscle and dropped 3.5 lbs of fat. I had also been getting less quality sleep and just less sleep in general. Went from 8 hrs to about 6. Drinking to much also the past 2 weeks. But I'm leaving for boot camp for 3 months so why the hell not. I just need to way up my calories.
Here is what I have ate since last night at 7pm
Dinner
8 oz filet mignon wrapped with 1 piece bacon
1 sweet potato cut into fries and baked with 2 Tbsp olive oil
spinach
snack
3 oz filet mignon
handful of mixed nuts. cashews, almonds, mac's, brazil nuts
snack
apple
2 tbsp natural PB
Protein shake 1 scoop 23g protein
3 am 6 oz flat steak
1/2 c. oatmeal with splenda
10am breakfast
5 whole eggs
2 pieces bacon
spinach
1/2 c oatmeal
2 pm snack
6 oz pork chop
1/2 c pineapple
2 Tbsp BBQ sauce
1 cup green beans
This is pretty similar to what I had been following with out the oatmeal, and sweet potato's.

Yes that is pretty much all the training I do. I might go back and work on some skill work things like handstands, muscle ups, and kettle bell form but with light weights nothing to intensive or explosive.
The only supps I'm taking are Men's One a Day vitamin 2x a day and 8.25g amino acids while I train.Last edited by Jenseno9; 03-12-2009 at 03:07 PM.

A family member of mine is a meat distributer so that helps. I guess that is a little more than the usual but thats what I had thawed out. chicken and pork are also common and salmon once a week. (I'm researching how to add fish oil into my diet)

I try to cover a variety of fish as well. I supplement *****'s 3x daily.
I have been stuck on this Talapia for a couple weeks now, what a great pwo meal for slin.

Yeah to bad I don't get free fish! I love salmon and could eat it everyday. Great protein and fats. Back to the question I asked up top. Should I order that Carbolyze to use PWO with slin? It seems to me that it isn't as processed and refined as more simply sugars like dex? Is that the same thing as I see people talking something about Waxy carbs or whatever?
