Hi,
I have been using about 5-6ius of insulin postworkout, but I have lost about 6-8 pounds over the past 2-3 weeks. Everything else I am doing has stayed about the same. I know many diabetics lose weight on insulin, but I am using it to try to put on an extra 6-8 pounds. Thanks

need more info.... could be many things....
do you have a glucose meter?
Because of Diet.....
so if I keep everything the same including diet I am going to lose weight? I have actually added a post carbo drink after workout.

Well I am just using 200mg a week of test. ( just a hair over trt dose). I have been doing this for a while, so I am not really gaining weight on this. I am using humulin-r and about 5-6 ius after workouts which is 3 days a week. I am taking in my carb drink then protein drink, and then a pretty good meal after that which is normal for me anyway. I am just trying to put on an extra 5-8 pounds and thought this would be a good way. Is it enough IU"s? Thanks
personally i wont go higher than 10iu at one shot. when i used, i normally stayed at 8iu. but thats just me. its a safety thing, and with insulin, more isnt always better. also, i was using Humalog, which is a little quicker. i put on 14lbs in 14 days using this.
so if you are losing weight, the only thing i can think, is that you arent eating enough throughout the day. maybe youre only focused on your post workout meal, when you take your insulin??
It all comes down to your diet, insulin is useless without food!
