    Slin and PWO

    So I've been reading and doing my homework on slin.

    No, I'm not using it [yet], and I don't know when I'm going to give it a shot.

    Anyways, I've seen a lot of protocols where it is suggested to take in your carbs 5 minutes after your shot(We're talking Log here), and then take in your protein 15 minutes after shot.

    So my question is, why the protein delay? Can't you just take your carbs and protein both 5 minutes after shooting slin?

    What's the reasoning behind waiting to take in protein?

    Sorry if this is a stupid question LOL, but I was just wondering about it.

    You can take them together if you like. The reason for the delay for me anyway is just the amount of liquid and the consistency of taking them all together. Guzzling that much right after an intense workout is at times a little hard on the gut. If you can mix them in a palatable way and take the whole shooting match together, that will work just fine.

    Ok, thanks a lot RB!

    Do you see any difference in protein absorption rates between taking in protein 5 minutes after the shot VS. 15 minutes?

    In theory maybe a little bit ... In actual practice not enough to really be an issue of any kind.

    Alright, thanks for the help bro!

    I'll probably try both methods to determine which I line better, once I give slin a shot.
