added too much bac water

I usually mix 1ml, Today I filled the pin to the 3ml so I could save some pins. well the suction drew about 1 and a half too much.. I usually draw 40 on th insulin pin to get to 4 iu's maybe I should draw to 50 to get to 4iu's to balance it out... It only happened to 2 vials the other one was like normal 1ml of bac water.. any suggestions.. thanks
