    Would HGH help?

I'm 52 years old and am considering starting GHRT mainly to burn
fat and smooth out some wrinkles. (Probably 2 i.u. per day based on what I've read.) I've been on TRT for the last year or so with mixed results.

Here are some of the results I'm working with:

    Pre-TRT
    IGF-1: 95 (87-238)

6/8/09 blood test after 2 months TRT

    IGF-1: 134 (121-237)
    IGF-BP3: 3.4 (3.4-6.8)
    Fasting Insulin : 2.1 (0.0-29.1)

    6/8/09 Urine panel

    HGH 7.7-.5-6.63 HIGH

Based on these tests, especially the urine panel that shows HGH above normal, would I benefit from GHRT?

You do already have quite high GH level for your age... but YES, 2iu-3iu will still show significant results, with someone your age. (anti-aging effects, etc.)

If you're already on TRT talk to your doc about GH therapy... he/she may be apprehensive to put you on it though due to your already high levels. Good luck!

you will most certainly benefit from it. I would do 2iu's am and 2 iu's right before sleep(only because your 50+years old doing so will mimic's the bodies natural secretion process)

What do you make of the low IGF-1 numbers along with the high GH number?

That is unusual. Maybe your liver doesn't do a good job in the conversion from GH to IGF? Any liver problems?

I would start with 2iu in the morning and give your body 10 days to get used to it. Increase by 1iu before bed time to 3iu/day. In 10 more days increase to 2iu in the am and 2iu bedtime. You'll be on HGH for at least 6 months to a year so start slow.

I'm 50 but most people think I'm mid 30's. You're going to love HGH.
