How hard it it to get used to injections?
I've been thinking of starting subq injections, but the just the thought of pinning freaks me out. How hard was it for you vets to get used to shots (if you ever really do)? Also, it sounds like it might be a time consuming process, at least to start with. Do you guys get to the point where you can just stick and go, say in one to two minutes?

i guess you havent pinned yourself before. you will get used to it fast. maybe a week or 2. if i preload my syringes i can walk to the frige, grab the pin and an alcohol wipe and can be done within 15sec. its as easy as swab, stick, swab. good luck.

SubQ injections are the easiest and least painful because the needle is so small.
A 29/30 gauge needle is nothing. Most of the time you feel absolutely nothing, or you feel what could be described as a mosquito bite at worst.

j/k bro it is nothing to get used to, most of the time I dont even feel it at all, I pin three times a day, two subq and one IM (AAS) and I was always deathly afraid of needles. Not anymore.

I've done 16 injections so far and it's not that bad. I def. don't look forward to it but it's not a big deal. I don't think I would want to be doing it every day though.

i hate doing IM, cause its time consuming. but subq is a joke. you dont feel nothing, and its really quick to load a few iu's.
oya, and i used to aboslutely hate needles. but on my first cycle, about half way through. my buddy who stuck my shots for me, was out of town, and i had to do my own. from then on, needles never bothered me again. its completely different experience, when you do it yourself.

I got totally lazy for a while. I started pinning HGH IM right through my shirt. It takes less than 5 seconds. I use 30ga insulin pin and I feel nothing. I pin chest, bicep, quad, where ever open skin is exposed. That 30ga pin is so think I am amazed it can ever transfer the HGH. Pinning is not a big deal, just do it and the mystery's over.

yes whatever you do dont get lazy and go through your shirt.....make sure you follow the basics and use an alcohol wipe every time..it will still only take a matter of seconds and you will keep away any infection.

ya well i work 12 hours a day. i have to get up at 5:30am, and i dont get home till 8pm. then its straight to the gym, cook supper, and if im lucky im in bed by 11:00pm. so that extra 10min i get in bed in the morning, is highly valued, when im not on cycle and doing injections every morning.

I'm glad someone is reading my post. My diabetic buddy pins everyday through his shirt. I guess after 40 years of pinning insulin he's gotten lazy tool I did the "through the shirt" thing for a while and I got too freaked out about infection. I hear you gents out there. You're right. It takes me another 10 seconds to swab so I'm back to swabbing. Sorry to cause an alarm. lol
