    hgh--joint pain--very disappointed!

I'm new here and have just(2 weeks in) started taking 1IU of HGH ED and am experiencing arthritic type pain in hands and feet and quite sever pain in back and hips! Very depressing, since I'm taking this for anti-aging and feel 25 years older rather than any younger.
Anyone else had this type of pain when starting HGH and if you did, did it go away once your body got used to the med.? I'm prepared to go the course if it'll improve. It stays like this, I'm better off as I was before....
Any advice from hgh vets. appreciated!

I'm no HGH vet, but my friend had the same problem as you when he started out at 3 Iu's a day.
I cant' believe your getting those side effects from only 1 iu.

Anyway, he backed it down to 1 iu and slowly worked his way up a half iu every two weeks and the sides went away.

I have never understood how some people say HGH helped heal or cure there tendon or joint pain caused by injury...but then others are caused the same kind of pain when starting HGH.

I guess the extra HGH shocks some peoples systems at first.

BTW..what brand GH are you taking??

American or euro is much stronger on average.

I got severe joint pains at 8iu/ed. I backed down to 5iu/ed and feel great. If you're getting those sides at 1iu/ed you must be super sensitive to HGH. Why don't you go down to .5iu/ed and see how you feel. A healthy adult male in their 20's will produce about 2iu/ed of natural HGH. Are you sure you're reading the measurement on the syringe correctly?

    brand

I used Saizen for 1 month, 1 IU EOD, then (last 2 weeks) a far East import(direct order) at 1 IU ED. Started to get the sides on the Saizen, so do not suspect the far East stuff to be fake. My starting pre-supplementation IGF-1 level was very low at 110. On the 1 IU EOD of the Saizen it rose to a miserable 124 after 3 weeks. Perhaps I'm not converting the HGH to IGF-1 and need to go the direct IGF-1 route.

Anyway, plan for now is to tough it out with the 1 IU, since it sounds like my body will get used to this eventually and then re-test the IGF-1 in about a month.

BTW, I'm a woman and have heard that the conversion of HGH to IGF-1 in the liver is inhibited by estrogen, so maybe that's why the IGF numbers are not going up as one might expect.

I'm also a woman and started at 0.5iu and was feeling good. As soon as I bumped up to 1iu (4 days later), my hands started to feel funny (among other things). I went back down to 0.5iu and no more issues. I posted a link to my hgh journal below.

Here are a few links to threads where people mention issues encountered when taking hGH:

Also, here's a very informative thread on hGH (if you haven't read it yet):

    Hope these links help you....

Thanks LawStudent. Nice to hear from another woman and thanks for the links.
I've read your blog with great interest as you seem to be experiencing some of the negative side-effects that I am. Did you have your igf-1 level tested before the start of supp.?

Please excuse me I didn't know your gender. Yes, women are especially sensitive to HGH. I tell women to start at .5iu/ed and see how they feel.
