HGH shutdown?

Correct me if im wrong: Someone who uses HGH at high dosage will lose endogenous HGH production. Doesn't the pituirary risk atrophy and produce less ammount of endogenous HGH for life after lets say 2 years of shutdown, just like its the case for testosterone and testicle atrophy?

would love to know more about this. I have heard the life of a hgh injection is short lived and that even when on hgh you still make hgh on your own. while sleeping ect... but I dont know.
