First, let me tell you a little about my history of usage.
I was told by a friend about HGH and it's ability for recovery, skin, etc. I am 52 yrs. old and it was really hard for me, working out and not seeing the same results from when I was younger. Let me say, at this point, that my libido has always been very high. Even at 52, it was on my mind all the time.
Well, I decided to start taking small amounts (1 iu a day). I built to 2 iu per day and now 3 iu's per day. I do the typical 5 days on and 2 off. I noticed on day 2 or 3 of use, that I didn't have that pressing drive when I looked at a woman that would normally get my full attention and occupy my thoughts. The drive has diminished quite a lot. I did 3 months of Somatropin HGH and my libido was extremely low the whole time. After the 3 months, I took about 3 weeks off, as per a routine I researched. I noticed a period (1st wk) where my libido bounced back during the time off, and then it crashed again for the 2nd and 3rd wks.
I am back on another cycle at 3 iu's per day (once in the morning). I am considering discontinuing the HGH if "loss of libido" is the tradeoff. What I'd really like to know is if there is anything I should be doing to counteract this loss of libido. Also, if I quit taking it, is there something I can take to get my libido back on track and as strong as it was before?
Before taking this, I was told that if I took it I risked the chance that my pituitary gland would quit producing HGH on it's own. Quite honestly, I don't know enough about the biochemistry that occurs to understand what causes my loss of libido and what to do to repair it. I sincerely hope that someone here can give me good advice to go forward. If you need any more info to help me, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks.
