A few Q's about HGH
Im 20 years old and I am 5'9 and walk around at 158-165 pounds when im not training for a fight. I know of afew people from boxing and baseball that have had good results from HGH. I have done some decent amount of research on somatropin in general and I would like to give it a shot. One thing that I have had trouble with is my body's recovery time.
I have tried different things(protein shakes and supplements to upping up the intensity of my training) and for some reason my recovery time compared to others is a bit slow.
What im still confused about though is
1. Does blue cross blue shield cover HGH?
2.There isint much of specifics on how much hgh will help a boxer and baseball player through recovery and growth, so in your experience
would you say this would definetly benefit, or not?
3.at 20 years old and not being that tall, would I be stupid to ask if HGH could support further growth as in height?
4.Is there a specific type of doctor that is lenient to prescribing HGH?
(I read that any doctor can prescribe but that sounds a bit funny)
Thank you in advance

Go to the Dr and get your levels checked (HGH, IGF1, etc...). If you're low it could help, otherwise stay away until you're at least 35.
HGH will not help you get taller at your age. Your growth plates have proably already fused.

Welcome!
1. Insurance: I have not heard of any which covers HGH..unless extreme situation
2. HGH does help with recovery and growth and can benefit
3. at 20 years old your growth plates might still be open in which case you can grow on your own. If closed, 20 is way too early anyway. You will be messing with your endocrine system. Possibly mess with your own natural growth pulse. Many here suggest to wait until 30 years old. At your age of 20 you already have SO MUCH natural growth hormone that it is best to use your own and build from there. The best way to get a natural boost is to go to bed between 10-12 PM when your circadian rhythm peaks for growth production.
4. The doctors who precribe HGH are primarily Endocrinologist and Anti-Aging docs.
I hope this helps...please wait until you are ready. HGH is a long term thing. It is recommended to take HGH for at least 6 months. You do not need it. Take your edge and advantage you have now and fly with it!Last edited by SlimmerMe; 10-25-2010 at 05:34 PM.

Thanks for the detailed response, I apreciate it! Now I know that a decent amount of pitchers have used the HGH and it has helped out with their pitching arm recovery. I am also experiencing pain in my lower bicep of my throwing arm. I have had it checked out and the doctor just said theres nothing thats damaged or ripped. I dont know if it is tendonitis but I have rested it now and tried different ways of healing it but everytime I throw around more than twice a week(not pitching just tossing the ball around) I get the sharp stinging pain in my lower bicep.
