Being sick and taking HGH
Hey,
So I’m sick. I have a genetic immune deficiency disease. My life isn’t so bad, however. I do get sick more frequently than most people and when I do sick it often progresses into something more severe, such as pneumonia. In generally, though, my life is pretty good.
Anyway, I was wondering if any of you have an immune deficiency disease, either genetic or acquired (HIV), and, if so, could you please explain how HGH (and/or Testosterone ) has helped or hurt your condition.
I asked my doctors about taking HGH and 3 out of 4 of them thought it would probably be helpful; ie improve my immune function and reduce the duration of my hospitalizations. However, since I’m relatively healthy/fit (5’9 172lbs), they feel “uncomfortable” prescribing something that is not FDA approved for my condition. One doctor did say if I did become weak/thin he would prescribe both HGH and T, but hopefully that never happens.
So, does anyone have any input?
PS. I do exercise (deadlift 495 and bench upper 200's), and my organ systems are fine, such as renal and liver. My immune system is the only thing that sucks.

Hi,
I am sorry to hear about your condition and I am glad that you are looking at it from a positive side.
In regard to taking test and/or GH I feel that it definitely could help. I understand that from doctors point of view he will not prescribe you now anything because right now you dont need it.
That is how medicine works: you have to start at a deficit and they will bring you back to 'normal' (according to medical norms). Improving ones body and mind and, in your case, doing something before it actually happens is not in the line of medicine. When you drop on the floor and all is almost over the doctors will come rushing.
My approach, and that what I reccomend, is that of an informed, rational and caring for onesself way. Know what and why you do something will give you the responsibility of your own health and even if sometimes we all rather trust the medicine 100% it is unfortunately also very true that the docs in many cases care much more about their personal agenda (money, prestige, norms, labels etc) then about the well being of the patient.
I hope you find the way which will make you happy and make you a better informed and healthier person.

This is a tough one. Lots of individuals take their health for granted and sometimes abuse it. A person like yourself has a way different view. Glad your doing well!!!
GH as I have seen and done myself has only given positive effects (visually) and for myself I do believe physically and mentally has enhanced. IMO; when taken with good direction, education and in a non-abusive manner can help. Though..I'm not a doctor and don't know your exact genetic setback I couldn't say in your specific case whether it may or may not be useful. Like GH consumer; i too believe doctors have their own agenda, and yes politics come into play with kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies and are hesitant with providing such controversal drug. (I swear...all of hollywood is on GH!)
Perhaps it may help to take BEFORE anything else takes a turn for the worse...or....wait till a time comes (if it does) to take that necessary step.
Whatever you choose....is in the end YOUR decision. At least you can live with what you have decided as opposed to someone else doing it for you.
You'll know what's right for you.
Take Care

That's awesome to hear. Anavar is used by a lot of HIV positive patients to rebuild lost muscle tissue. It's the mildest oral steroid but it's still liver toxic (not too toxic). AAS will shut you down so a good PCT should be implemented. I've been on HGH for a couple of years and I don't plan on getting off it anytime soon. I can't remember being sick in the past two years. I just feel great. You should look at some cardio exercise along with weight training. The algorithmic movement activates the bile system which is the sewage pipeline through out your body. Blood is pumped by the heart but bile is circulated via mechanical movement. Good luck bro. I wish you the best of health.
