Exogenous HGH at young age = low endogenous HGH for life?
Also, IGF-1.
Does taking exogenous HGH or IGF-1 at an age where your endocrine system hasn't fully developed yet make you have low HGH or IGF-1 for the rest of your life?
I know taking test and other AAS before 24/25 when your test levels even out will give you low natural test after your cycle(s), do HGH and IGF-1 work the same way? I mean, they give HGH to kids with idiopathic short stature and they have normal HGH levels. Do those kids come out of treatment with low HGH?Last edited by TestyI; 05-06-2012 at 04:13 PM.

I would like to know the answer to this as well. As far as I know it doesn't suppress your gh production half as much as test does.

Exo GH does suppress your bodies' natural pulse, due to elevated GH levels and elevated IGF levels. Lot of people think you can avoid suppressing your natural night time pulse by pinning in the morning. I used to think that actually, but it's not true. GH levels peak 4 hrs after pinning and IGF-1 levels peak 12 - 20 hrs after pinning so suppression is inevitable.
The pituitary seems to be pretty resilient though as there are few or none cases where the pituitary doesn't start pulsing GH once rHGH is discontinued.

Thanks Sgt. Hartman! Very helpful.
Do you know if the bit about the pituitary bouncing back applies for younger guys who's hormonal system hasn't finished developing also? Or taking IGF-1?
Thanks.Last edited by TestyI; 05-08-2012 at 03:02 PM.
