    Insulin Question

    I'm currently running 8Iu's of Novolin R PWO then 10min after consuming my cocktail drink,

    I want to add a Preworkout because I hear lots of good things.

    is this how its done:

    1.5hr Slin shot of 8iu, take my cocktail drink to the gym and workout while sippin on it.

    then after my workout Slin SHot again for PWO, then drink another of my cocktail drink then wait for1hr later for a good meal????

    I have mostly stuck with taking novalin R post workout, but recently I tried taking 5ius pre workout and taking a protein shake with me to the gym that I sipped on while working out. I experienced some great pumps while in the gym, and I honestly think it worked better, so I may continue doing it this way.

    leave novolin/humulin to the pros. novolin/humulin have longer peaks and duration lasts long time. if your going to use it then humalog or novolog is best. but still even then

    I used novolin r for 2 weeks.. Was taking 12 ius pre-workout and then would drink Half before gym and other half after. Go home take my protein & creatine 30-45 mins later eat some lean chicken or beef with a salad

    I did notice insane pumps that fûcking hurt like no tomorrow..

    Not sure why anyone would use long acting slin when there's short acting slin like Humalog out there. I prefer quick in and out plus you don't have to avoid fats near as long. I've never used Humalog in large amounts but I have used 5iu (pinned IM) 1 hour before the gym and immediately pwo with good results.

    2-3 hours Peak
    4-6 hours Duration

    Way to long of a duration for me especially if you're pinning pre and pwo...that would pretty much mean you would have to keep fat out of the equation for around 8 hours.

    What brand is faster?

    Humalog

    Is 15 mins onset 1-2 hour peak and 3-5 hour duration but don't quote me though.. For 1 hour longer duration, 15 min slower onset and the price and availability of novolin r that's why I go that route..

    I pin my Humalog IM so it's in out within 2-3 hours.

    Yes! Most charts you see are for sub q injection and IM is faster. Be careful though as it can hit you quick if you're not prepared.

    Looks like almost 25-50% faster in numerous write ups.. I take my carb drink with me to the gym for this reason you never know what can happen...

    As long as you have some high GI carbs ready then I say you give IM a shot (no pun intended). Be aware that you can still go hypo after your carb drink especially if you're highly active so always have glucose tabs or a fast carb ready.
