Insulin is not something people should be messing with unless they REALLY know what they are doing or are under a doctors care for treating diabetes. one can die very easily. one can also end up a diabetic for the rest of their life.

Edited: The first sentence was incorrect.. I stand by this part though. Know what you're doing if you decide to start self administration of insulin.

This is incorrect, you can buy insulin OTC without a prescription. How do I know, because I have done it!

Correct, reason being if someone were having bg issues and it were an emergency they would not be denied buying fast acting slin as it could save their life.

You could walk right into any pharmacy and get it on the spot no questions asked.

But unless you are an experienced user and know exactly what you are doing you should not touch it.

    Edit
This is in California Idk about New York.

IOH - State Prescription Laws for Syringes and Insulin

I'll be damned. I know 2 people with type 1 who will die without it and they both have it prescribed. From what I'm reading now it looks like the pharmacist has discretion on it but it's OTC in almost all states other than the latest synthetics.

I understand it's required for survival and therefore the reasoning for it being sold without a rx but don't patients who have 1 diabetes have some sort of id form that states they have diabetes at least? It seemsdangerous to sell it to anyone as if it was aspirin. Jmo but I stand corrected.

In California they are literally not allowed to ask any questions when you ask to purchase.

so, 'I've heard that insulin can make you really fat if not taken with (thyroid meds) things to counteract that.
because insulin can be very dangerous it is sometimes referred to as "death wish dieting." apparently it rocks when taken with a fat burner, steroids and GH. sounds very dangerous

how do you stop it from getting you fat other than using thyroid meds?

here's an interesting article. someone might want to let me know if it's crap.

Bodybuilding: Side Effects of GH, Anabolic Hormones, Testosterone, Thyroid, Insulin, and Steroids

what the hell is DNP . i heard it was the most dangerous drug in BB, but also the absolute when it comes to fat burning. Which is more dangerous: DNP vs Slin death in a syringe anyone?

I had no idea! wow I just learned something new. funny thing is insulin can kill you if not taken correctly and steroids won't, yet you can go to jail for using steroids not prescribed by a doc.

DNP increases metabolic rate by accessing mitochondria directly and bypassing normal regulating pathways. Basically it send you into overdrive and you burn up. The result is ultimately death from hyperthermia. Sounds unpleasant. If youre 'lucky' enough to get treatment fast enough you'd most likely have severe brain and other organ damage or be left in a coma/vegetative state hooked up to machines for the rest of your 'life'.

Insulin is complicated. It regulates glucose in the body. Too much or too little and you slip into a coma, then you die. This happens quickly. If you could just eat a candy bar and be.fine it wouldn't be that dangerous. Unfortunately its not that simple and you can't think properly when you have too low or too high blood sugar levels, so although a candy bar may do the trick, you can't think straight so you pass out and die instead. Insulin can and is used in bodybuilding safely... You better just know exactly what youre doing because it can also kill and it happens quickly.
